RE: [JMC_Blue_Dwarf] A Psychic Appendix? It Could Happen...

Katrina rounded the corner and was greeted by the medi-staff and a big squishy
thing that they were rolling.
She stared at them.
The medi-staff stared back at her.
"Hi," Katrina greeted, giving a half-hearted wave.
"Hello," Coffey squeaked.
"Greetings, fair lady," Shakespeare piped up.
Katrina looked over the thing, not knowing it was a giant appendix that wanted
to be a psychatrist. "What's that thing?"
"What thing?" Wildflower asked innocently.
"That thing you're rolling," Katrina answered.
Wildflower glanced down at the appendix and forced a gasp, pretending she had
just noticed it. "This thing?" She waved her hand. "It's nothing."
Keto looked ready to explode.
Coffey stepped up. "What she means is, this is just a big toy. I big squishy
toy. Like it?" She ran a hand over it in a loving facade.
Katrina cocked her head, looking over the appendix. "No, I don't. It's leaving a
gooey trail all over the floor, which I'm going to have to clean up." She paused
to take a deep breath. "Now, here's a question: why would the medi-staff be
rolling a big squishy toy through Blue Dwarf corridors when they could be
causing trouble in the medi-bay, as usual?"
Shakespeare, Coffey and Wildflower looked to Keto to answer. Keto turned away,
not wanting to any part of it.
Wildflower forced a grin. "We, uh, are pushing this toy through the corridors
for uh..." she bit her lip, trying to think of a plausible answer,
"...exercise."
Katrina nodded slowly. "Exercise. Oooo-kay," she said slowly. She pointed back
the way she came. "I'm going to leave now and pretend this never happened, all
right?" She turned to go.
"Fare thee well, milday," Shakespeare called after her.
"Bye!" Wildflower and Coffey included.
