"Won't you look up at the skyline..." sang Tara, as the song
began, "At the mortar, block and glass."
Tara sang surprisingly adequately, Keto had to admit, and even the
music produced by the ragged array of instruments was accompanying
the actual tune rather than, as he had expected, some mindless path
of its own.
"That's why my philosophy (My Phil!)" went the chorus, Alota's
voice supporting Tara's quite eloquently, the music rising up behind
it, "Keeps me walking when I'm falling down (O-SO-PHY!)"
Even the faint whistles from Keto harmonica were vaguely in tune.
Of course, in his own mind his harmonica was the only thing keeping
the tune together.
Jay and Kayn seemed to be in some competition over who could add
the most flourishes to the already complex tune, and so the song was
interspersed with rapid tones that would have put Hendrix to shame
(and, as a result, a few rapid tones that sometimes ended up sounding
more confused than impressive). Overall, however, the song was going
quite well.
After only a few minutes, which nevertheless seemed like hours to
those involved (and, no doubt, to those watching!), the song neared
its climax.
"But you got no philosophy (My Phil!)," sang Tara and Alota, voices
rising, "Now it's time for this song to end (O-SO-PHY!)"
As the music died away, the housemates hesitated, standing there.
Finally Keto coughed.
"What are we waiting for, applause?" he grumbled, and sat down.

OOC: See, we didn't do too bad...unless, of course, somebody else
wants to write a really catastrophic performance and lose us our food
budget. ;)

T'ch, I'm both shocked and dismayed! I mean, do you not TRUST
me...?
...We've been through this discussion before, no? ;)

would try as hard as they could to prove that Keto is a downright
bastard, and that he should go. Technically, this would be braking
the rules, but who cares? It's Keto we're talking about here!
*says nothing, stunned in fake shock*
(Damn, that title reference, doesn't really work, does it? :( ).
