Re: [JMC_Blue_Dwarf] Utilising NPC #14763 - The Big Pink Tree

"ummm....Jen'"
Wildflower looked up from her desk over to Vanessa who was pretty worried about something.
"Whats up?"
"That plant that was in the corner before"
"Plant...OH! you mean the big pink tree"
"Yes."
"What about it?"
"It just got up and walked out"
"So?"
Vanessa was bewildered by this last comment, Jenny was talking as though it was normal for a pink tree to get up and walk out, still from what she'd learned so far about this ship it shouldnt really be a surprise."
"Isn't it a little odd?"
"No..dont worry, he's booked his holiday time"
"Ok...I need a drink...."
Vanessa rapidly made her way towards the nearest bar..namely Parrots

Subject: [JMC_Blue_Dwarf] Utilising NPC #14763 - The Big Pink Tree
Dripping fluids echoed throughout the levels of the diesel decks, an area which was used only by vermin, engineering officers in times of crisis, and the occasional lost soul who seldom found their way back out.  And, now, a Tree.  The Big Pink Tree, a couple of rucksacks suspended from its medial* branches, bounced fairly merrily along the metal grids, making them rattle in their bearings.  With the arrival of the new nurse, the absence of its beloved Keto and the sudden change in Shakespeare, it had decided that the job was providing too much stress for one pink vegetary** lifeform to handle, and had taken a leave of absence.  It was on vacation.  And, even it had to admit, it was going quite well.  The XPress Lift had no problem with dropping it off at the right level (although the return arrangements were a little dubious), and it had already seen several splendid examples of a Macintosh 14B/S4 Stroke Relay Thrust Provider, something that was a rare specimen indeed in a ship such as the Dwarf!  Of course, it's private goal was to actually discover a working Windows 19.72 Beta Edition Power Coupling, but such an item was thought to be mythical.  Firstly, the Beta Edition was recalled due to nobody filling in the ship registration forms, and secondly, nobody had ever heard of a working one anyway.  Nevertheless, the Tree had not given up hope.  And down here, on the Diesel Decks, all alone, it could happily spend all its available time looking.  After all, nobody could possibly disturb it here.  So, merrily and without any kind of stress whatsoever, it bounced onwards.====OOC - Somebody inside BB please write something!  I'm resorting to sending the Tree on a boring vacation!*Is this even a word?**How about this one?The continuing adventures of the Blue Dwarf...www.geocities.com/bluedwarf2000To unsubscribe from this group, send an email to:JMC_Blue_Dwarf-unsubscribe@egroups.comYour use of Yahoo!
