Lending a hand - part 2

When: The morning after
Who: A rather bruised looking Jay, Katy, Zodar, Jo Peiades and assorted engineers.
Where: Main Engineering
Jo noticed, as she walked though the corridors of Blue Dwarf, that Holly was getting increasingly erratic in his behaviour. He had already appeared on several walls with his now trade mark shades moshing his head to “I was made for loving you baby, you were made for loving me.” The psychotic looks he had received from several security officers were enough to send him fleeing deep into his circuitry after an apalling attempt at singing along with the recording. But now, in his water logged madness, he had managed to coerce the skutters into forming a 50 metre long conga-line through the engineering decks, causing people to jump and hop to avoid treading on the pirouetting mechs.
The remaining afternoon of the day before, had been spent tending to the injuries of her crew with Vanessa Chrysler. The nurse had also helped organise a small funeral service for the five crew members who had lost their lives in the crash. While tired and solemn in the aftermath of their little disaster, the able-bodied ones willingly agreed to help the Blue Dwarf engineers in plugging holes and refloating the ship. At present, they were lingering over breakfast in the Dwarf’s mess hall, waiting to be useful.
Jo uttered a growl as another of the critters grabbed at her trousers with its claw, apparently wanting her to join it in dancing to the “Copacabana”. She shook it off and leapt up the stairs to main engineering, in search of Jay or Katy.
She eventually found both of them and a few engineers crowded around a table cluttered with sheets and sheets of diagrams and calculations.
“Look. Zodar, you take your team here and begin construction that section,” Jay was saying, pointing a finger at a grimy looking piece of printout, “Katy and the others will have to pump the water out of this compartment before…” he glanced up and broke off at the sight of the newcomer.
“Morning all. I’m Jo Peiades. I have a team ready to help with reparing and refloating this hulk.” She smiled. Jay nodded and returned his attention to the plans.
“Good, we need all the help we can get. As I was saying…”

OOC: For some strange reason, my writer’s block never lifts until after 1am…not the most ideal of situations really. But anyway, care to take it from here anyone? …um… anyone?
