Back in Black.....or maybe Blue

"Ms. Chrysler," said Keto, "This is a rescue mission. If we let you
fly, it would be a suicide mission."
"Well, *you* explain it then!" challenged Vanessa.
Keto opened and closed his mouth.

At that precise moment of perplexity, Zodar walked into the medibay.
He'd been informed by Holly that the repair job on the walls weren't
looking to good as far as using the right materials were concerned and
that the structural integrity of the entire Medibay was being slightly
compromised, requiring immediate attention by a member of the
engineering staff that was available.
Zodar had taken the job, but mainly because he thought Jay should be
conscious by now and an apology was required concerning the Phoenix.
The Phoenix had almost been written off, but because of the limited
range of spare parts on the ship, Zodar had the wreck moved to an
unused Engineering bay adjacent to the Flight deck. The part about
'spare parts' he planned to omit from his apology.
Noticing the wall dripping with some strange substance at the far side
of the room, Zodar made his way through the room, weaving between the
people who had gathered there. He set his tools down on the Medibunk
nearby and turned around.
The room was watching him.
"Uh
hi, Guys." Chris said, feeling that there was a problem in the air,
"What's up?"
Several medibay crew opened their mouths to explain when the doors slid
open to admit Jo supporting a half unconscious officer with a blood
soaked bandage wrapped around what was left of his arm.
A little help? she asked.
Vanessa and Hazel quickly moved over to help the new patient to a
medibunk. Unfortunately, Jay was not the only one confused by
Vanessas new disguise. As the two nurses approached Jo, Vanessa
suddenly found the business end of a laser pistol aimed at the center
of her forehead.
OOC: Joint post wit Zodar. I had written more, but this was the only
stuff that was intelligible...Keto you now have a pilot =)
