Phil almsot got up to comfort Tara, but then stopped halfway out of his seat.
 
"That was a very stupid thing to do..." said the Voice in Phil's mind.
 
"Why. She's hurt. I could help her."
 
"How?, your a scientist, not a medic"
 
"But she is...was...is......I mean was a good freind of mine."
 
"Right that does it. Your sentamentalty has really been getting on my wick. You've asked for this............."
 
Phil groaned in agnoy and fell to the floor.
 
Eve rushed over to see what the matter was.
 
"Phil are you okay....."
 
"Yes Eve, thank you for asking. Just a headache."
 
"Your sure your okay?"
 
"Yes fine thank you. I would appreciate it if you could help me over to Tara tough, My legs are a bit wobbley.."
 
Eve helped Phil over to where Tara was still crying. Phil gave her a hug and she fell into his arms, crying(almost winning).
 
As Tara fell asleep in Phil's arms, he spoke to Eve ...."Eve,  I think It's about time you got a promotion. The sam applys to Dirk. Effective imadtaly you have just been upgraded to full scentist."
 
Eve was speachless - "But why now?"
 
"Becasue I need you to find Dirk and sort out what is going on on this planet....."
 
"But with all due respect sir, your much better at this sort of thing then I am, why can't you do it? No disrepect intended.."
 
"None taken..The main reason why I'm asking you do do it is..."
 
"Yes?"
 
"I've resigned!"
 
Alota dropped a cup she was holding "Pardon?"
 
Zodar's jaw dropped opened....
 
"That's right. I've resigned. As of this moment I am no longer your CSO.."
 
"But what are you gonna do now?" asked Zodar
 
"Well, I might be mistaken, but Harris has been gone a long time now and I belive that the security on the BD is in need of a shakedown...."
