What's the problem? Part 2

Allie Fletcher, being careful not to draw any
attention to herself in her imperfect state, noticed
the rest of the crew was rather upset with the new
captain. And who wouldn't be? She seemed to be nuttier
than her Aunt Petunia's Christmas fruit cake.
Pacing soundlessly back in her quarters (her
footsteps made no noise because she was still stuck in
soft-light), and Allie decided that she should find
out if she had been re-assigned. Might as well. Her
life could only keep doing downhill from there.
"Holly?" she called.
An A.I. that looked like Holly in a bad wig
appeared.
"Ahoy hoy,"* the computer greeted.
"Holly?" Allie asked fearfully.
"No, I'm uh, Dolly. Yeah, Dolly," the computer
answered.
"Um, kay," Allie mumbled. "Uh, I just wanted to know
if I've been re-assigned."
"Sure. Who are you?" Dolly asked.
"You don't know who I am?"
"Nope. Not a clue," Dolly replied.
"I'm Allie Fletcher," she answered.
"Right, hang on a minute." Dolly's head disappeared
for a second. "Okay, what was that name again?" she
asked when she re-appeared.
"Allie Fletcher, Console Officer."
"Nope, not anymore you're not," Dolly said. "You've
been re-assigned to the promenade."
Allie didn't believe it. "The promenade? But I'm an
officer." She paused. "Where in the promenade
exactly?"
"McDonald's."
Allie forced a laugh. "Very funny. Now, really,
where am I working?"
"McDonald's. Enjoy!"
There was an eerie stillness that stayed in the air
long after Dolly had left the screen. Allie continued
to pace some more before stopping, looking at no one
in paticular and saying, "It begins."
OOC-That "Ahoy hoy" I threw in above I stole from
Monty Burns. He always says that when answering the phone.
