Kayn responded to the aphrodisiac instantly...
And snapped out six seconds later
 
Apparently, Kayn carried a mutation in his genetic cells in his upper brain area (and we all thought Kayn had little in the form of that....) which made him immune to the new aphrodisiacs of the twenty something century.
 
All early twenty first century aphrodisiacs were cheap placebos - in fact some made love impossible due to the fact that people usually had to run off to the toilet after swallowing constipation curing drugs
 
Then in 2067 a startling discovery was made - 
Meth's, along with another set of illegal drugs, made perfect hallucinations. The aphrodisiac companies doubled thier share values in 5 minutes of the discovery.
 
In the end, however, the aphrodisiacs were outlawed and became valuable street drugs to any people (like Seymour) who desperatly needed to get in bed with someone of the opposite (or same) sex that wouldn't bother with them in a billion years (Nipels can't use these. Not because of morals or anything, but the fact his measly pay package means he can't buy a car until his fifteenth year of service - even a banged up W reg from the 21st Century)
 
Then the people came who could counter these drugs. The ones who were immune to every form of aphrodisiac (Think rats that are immune to warfarin and you've got a decent idea), fake or real. Many of these people lived on Ganymede
 
As mentioned before, Kayn lived on Jupiter's most famous moon (the other being Io where Rimmer lived) and was immune to the aphrodisiacs by something called the S'by Wob gene (named by athrodisiac suppliers as Smegging B*****d You Wrecked Our Business)
 
Suddenly Kayn knew what was happening...and started to creep away slowly as James tried a pick up line on Efof, who was currently immersed in listening intently to Doom scream 'chat up lines'
 
Kayn crept back to the drive room and started his shift three hours early. One thing he knew though, was that at least two of the stunned group were going to have sore asses in the morning...
