Tara got a few things out of a cupboard and started to dress Amber's wounds, applying anaesthetic and removing metal shards where necessary. Eve watched for a moment as mother cared for daughter. As she was leaving she thought she heard Tara say,
"I will never leave you. Not like my mother. I promise. Just don't leave me first."
<END SNIP>"I miss my mum and ... dad" Eve said as she walked away trying not to cry thinking of her late father.Eve went to every Medi-Bay person (doctor/nurse/etc) in the Medi-Bay, the last person she checked to see if they were Coffee, was in fact her."Trust" Eve muttered to herself."What?" Coffee turned her head to look over Eve to see who she was and to guess what she wanted."Tara has put you in charge until Keto gets back." "What! Is something wrong with her? Is Tara alright?" Coffee worried looking around at the patients for Tara."No, no, Tara's fine, But its Amber, she looks ... bad." Eve confided in Coffee."Oh dear," Coffee said taking off her blood covered surgical gloves, "Does she want assisstants?" Putting on fresh clean ones."No, I'm helping, you stay with these others that need help, but thank you."Eve went to the supply cupboard, put on a lab coat, gloves and a face mask, she felt like a dipstick, but that was the least of her problems. Her problem at present was her coat wouldn't do up, something in her pocket was sticking out and causeing a bulge, Eve's hand dove into her pocket and took out the DNA kit Tara had given her before, it read "view your DNA in less then 2 minutes." Eve thought why not, it was only two minutes.She opened the kit and set it up on a free bench, she took a sample of her blood with the provided needle and placed it on the slide. It was all set up, all she needed to do was wait the two minutes."EVE! HELP!" It was Tara calling from Amber's side.The moniters were making weird rapid bleeping noises, it didn't sound healthy."What's wrong?" "She's lost too much blood, i'm not the right type, go find Rufus for me.""Are you sure he's the same blood type?""Yes they've both got a very rare blood type, HH negative.""Tara I can do better then running off to find Rufus" Eve said as she set up the blood transfusion equipment and connected herself to it."Eve what are you doing?""I'm HH negative, just like my mother, doesn't seem that rare after all hey."
