to accompany the Chief of Security to the planet Amadues 5 so we
could talk about this 'Darkover' further later."

Cain in the lift heading nearly at floor 5 when Holly appeared on
screen.
"The commander has told that to tell you 'Able is scarping his hat
and that you should join Security Chief Phil to the planet." Holly
informed the security officer.
Cain merely looked at the old AI with cold eyes and said. "No."
"What!" Holly commented surprised.
"Tell that overgrown furball I will speak with him of matters of
certain importance when I say so, not he." Cain informed Holly.
"But..." Holly started.
"Go." Cain ordered and with a worried look Holly disappeared.
Cain went back to listening to the earpiece he had hacked into the
ship's security mainframe. "...files say Tobasis has sent a guy
named Cain in to investigate you guys, and I'd say from his service
record that I can see here, that he's a section 42'er. He's certainly
got the high level access codes."
Cain merely smiled to himself as he reajusted his gloves and said to
himself. "I don't answer to you my furry target, nor to that OAP of
a Adimarl or the missing captain of yours. I have my orders and
nothing is going to change that."
