Collectively crippled

Who: Elwood and the abandoned
When: methinks before the explosion would be better
Where: the soon to be deceased Blue Dwarf
Ship time: impact minus 2 minutes
WD-40 bustled along the corridor, slightly concerned that White Wolf
was nowhere to be seen.
Timmy wobbled along the corridor, slightly concerned that the alcohol
storage tanks had been jetisoned into space.
The Keto-Brain-Bot rolled down the corridor, slightly concerned that
there weren't enough ramps available for fleeing robots who couldn't
use stairs.
Elwood lay in the corridor, slightly concerned that he had no legs
and couldn't move.
Ship time: impact minus 1 minute, 55 seconds
There was a collective crash.
"Elwood..." Timmy stated, untangling himself from KBB; "Why are you
laying in the middle of the corridor?"
"More to the point..." KBB argued, dewedging his fluid-bowl from WD-
40's armpit; "Why aren't you trying to escape this doomed ship?"
"And how come..." WD-40 said, tidily removing his foot from Elwood's
chest; "You're so messy?"
The half-uber-skut moaned but didn't answer.
"Oi!" Holly said, appearing on a nearby monitor; "Shouldn't you lot
be gone by now?"
The four machines nodded, only Elwood's nod ended as his head fell
off.
"Blimey" Holly said, rolling his eyes; "You lot weren't left behind
were you?"
Three robots nodded, and one weakly twitched his claws.
Ship time: impact minus 1 minute, 5 seconds
3 and a quarter machines skidded to a halt outside the cinema complex
towards the ship's rear.
"Why are we here?!" Timmy squeeked, wearing Elwood's head like a
tasteless French fashion statement; "Shouldn't we be in a shuttlebay
or something?"
"Holly said that the shuttlebays are empty" WD-40 said calmly; "But
that there was still a ship back here"
"Everyone!" KBB shouted from around a corner; "I've found it!"
Ship time: impact minus 50 seconds
Upon further quick investigation, it seemed that the ship was in fact
the Starbug that Elwood had crashed a few weeks previously. As luck
would have it, no-one had bothered to clear the wreckage and the
shuttlecraft was still wedged through a wall and into the floor.
The trio plus .25 scrambled into the cockpit and started punching
buttons randomly...
Ship time: impact minus 15 seconds
Eventually, Elwood pointed out that the engine-start button was
marked "Engine Start" and lay in the middle of the signposted "Engine
Control Panel". KBB reached up a wheeled arm and pressed it...
Ship time: impact minus 5 seconds
"Well how was I to know the fuel tanks were empty?" Elwood commented
in reply to the glares everyone threw at him.
