The engine fuels mixed and the resulting reaction caused the fighter
Keats was in to jerk forward to combat speed instantly. He tagged
onto the end on the large fleet of ships speeding towards the clown
squadrons. He sighed, it had been quite a while since he last piloted
in a combat situation, they still had a few minutes, so he switched
onto auto-pilot and got up for a drink. Instead of his usual homebrew
beverage-come-paint stripper, he choose a small glass of fruit-
'caffine stimulation drink, 'Caffy Apple'. It had no real taste, just
a stimulation effect, he took the half finished can to the seat, and
strapped back in. He quickly started a now rutine series of memories,
he had recoreded most on the portable dream machine in sack, and
flicked the 'on' button.
He was almost 18... He could remember that a few weeks before his
birthday, the remaider of the gang were plotting a heist for his
birthday. Their target was a real mig left over from the Cold war on
earth. It was in the British War museum, and so far hteyd sorted
everything out except were to take it, the security was a breeze to
hack through, getting it out was a matter of timing, and Frank was a
damn good organiser. The three of them all had there part to play,
Frank would disable security and open the dome roof, so as to get the
mig out, Keats would shimmy onto the thing, and... the other one...
would carry enough fuel for a 15 minute flight. It had all fallen
into place....
'...Pilot Jonh Keats? Your flying out of formation! Get back in line
dammit!' Keats jumped awake. He quickly glanced down at the navi
panel and corrected the corse, he must of knocked the auto pilot
switch to the 'off' posistion, he sighed, and finished the drink.
