lets liven things up a bit more

Who: Canazza
Where: The Bowels of the ship
When: a while after the party
He had spent the last few hours evading an extremely pissed off Ambassador and his hangover was beginning to set in.
He looked around, he didn't recognise this part of the ship, although he could hear the feint whine of the engines from behind him. the signs all said "engineering" but from the looks of it no human had been here in years, the dim red alert bulbs were the only illumination. What's more is that he couldn't remember the way back.
There was a dimly lit room ahead, he decided to check it out since it was slightly more lit up than the corridors.
"LIGHTS!" he called, but none came on
He fumbled vainly for a light switch on the wall and found what he thought was one.
It was a lever of some kind, and he pulled it.
there was an incredibly bright flash, blinding Canazza for a few moments.
The light was emanating from a machine in the corner.
It was still blinding canazza if he looked directly at it so he decided to turn it off.
But when he went to flip the switch, his hand went straight through it and the wall.
"Smegging hell" he thought, "This hangover's worse than I thought"
He tried to pass his hand through the wall again. he did it.
"Bloody hell, i'm out of phase" he pulled his hand out, "Why don't i fall through the floor?" he wondered
the engine noise raised to a higher pitch and he fell, through the floor.
The engine noise changed back and he stopped falling.
He was somewhere familiar now, he was in the lower transit system. He heard the trundle of the train from ahead of him.
He attempted to 'swim' forwards, but it was no use. "i'm out of phase, the train will pass right through me" he thought.
All of a sudden he fell to the floor with a bump, whatever happened wore off, and there was a high speed train coming towards him.
He scrambled for the sides of the tunnel and barely made it up in time before the train came whizzing past.
Canazza started walking onwards towards a station, on the way he tried to make sense of what just happened. The best he could think of was that someone, somewhere at some point in Blue dwarf's history was fiddling about with phase shifting, but didn't quite get it to work the way it was in things like 'star trek'.
once out of phase there was nothing to act on him, he was being carried by pure inertia. The change in engine tone was most likely the ship making a slight course change, which ended up with him going through the floor.
There was little application for this, unless someone had some kind of jetpack. And goodness knows what would happen if they left the ship.
Canazza had two options now. One, report to the first senior officer he sees about this, or Two, take on the engineering challenge of finishing someone's work, in secret.
He was about to go for Option two when he reached the platform and noticed quite a few people standing there, including a couple of senior officers
