Johnny thought that this was his big chance to more than an annoyance
to the important Blue Dwarf crew.
"Being a trained pilot, I say that I should have a go at trying to
control Dean's body. Now, will this probe be able to control his
voice box as well as giving us the data from his eyes and ears?"
Jay replied "Seeing as I am the more experienced pilot, and I know
Dean better than you, I think It would be better if I controlled
Dean."
"Okay, but then you would need me to fly the Raven..."
"Second thoughts, you can control Dean, and no-one is to touch the
Raven's controls without my written and verbal permission on pain of
death! However, I will be Dean's voice as I will know what to say."
Phil and Alota loaded the probe into the cannon, being as quick but
careful as possible. Jay positioned the cannon, while being directed
by Keto to find the best nerve to hit, and then Jay paused for half a
second before firing the cannon.
"It's all yours!" Phil excalimed as he passed Johnny the controls for
the probe as the blurry vision of a half unconcious man with eyelids
open filled the screen and the words Dean was hearing could be heard
on the speakers.
Johnny grimaced as Dean wobbled while Johnny wrestled with the
controls. Within ten seconds he became used to the controls and Dean
was walking fluidly towards Cerebrum and Brian.
"Hey Cerebrum, It's Jay." He whispered.
"What are you doing?" Cerebrum didn't look happy.
"We've got control of Dean."
"We've got company - marines are in control of the ship and they want
Dean."
Jay (and everyone else in the Raven) swore out loud.
"Shh Jay. The marines heard you."
