Time Space and Stuff

OOC: sorry for the delay in this post need to make sure there was no clash
with the up coming action.

"I... I have to leave you soon. I'm meant to go and save this race which are
nearly extinct, and I have to go leap in a wormhole, or something." To
Dante's surprise, Aurora looked relieved.
"Oh, okay... Is there anything I can do to help?" Dante glanced at his
watch, and noticed he had at least 20 minutes until he had to leave the girl
he loved.
"No, not unless you want to come and risk death..."
Before Aurora had the chance to reply, he stood up and positioned himself so
he was standing right in front of her. Aurora looked up at him in his suit,
and smiled warmly. Dante bent down and kissed her, thinking of how good it
felt.
Only the sound of Charlie's voice broke the two's kiss.
"Great timing, Charlie..." Dante muttered, kissing Aurora's forehead.
"I'll see you round?"
"Yeah, sure."
And with that, Aurora watched as Dante ran off...

Who: Dante and Charlie,
When: before the gas was vented, and before the strange lady took control of
the navi-deck. Plus a bit of frozen time.
Where: Wormhole drive room and navi-deck,
Who: Dante and Charlie,
Dante entered the room containing the wormhole drive. His watch read
12minutes 26 seconds remaining. Charlie was floating round the core with a
note pad making calculations as he went. “Not bad,” breathed Dante. “Parrots
to here must be 2 miles, in 8 minutes, not bad at all, must be a world
record.”
“Not quite mate, the record is 8:06:24, you made it in 8:05:59, not bad
though.”
“So what wormhole have I got to jump through?”
“You don’t mate we have to cut the power and exactly the right moment.
Namely when the dwarf is half way through the hole, which should put the
whole crew bar you and me in a temporary stasis, plus stop the dwarf from
moving. Plus stop time though out the known universe”
“Why would we want to do that?”
“Well stopping it means you have time to get up to the navi deck and put the
dwarf in reverse. Therefore we don’t go through the split in time and
therefore don’t crash into planet Char. And therefore don’t wipe out your
race.”
“But won’t that mean that, I won’t be ejected from planet Char, Therefore I
won’t be on the dwarf, then not stop it crashing, then I will be ejected
from Char, then will be on the dwarf, and will stop the dwarf from crashing,
so then I won’t be ejected from planet Char, Therefore I won’t be on the
dwarf, then not stop it crashing, then I will be ejected from Char, then
will be on the dwarf, and will stop the dwarf from crashing, so then…”
10 minutes later.
Dante took a deep breath.
“Yes we get the picture, endless loop, but that’s the risk I am willing to
take.” Interrupted Charlie. “Right you have less then 1.5 minutes to disable
the drive.”
“Okay how do I do it?”
“When I say so you have to pull out the mains plug.”
“Ok once we are in the Time freeze thingy, how long do we have?”
“Less then 20 minutes mate. NOW”
“What?”
“NOW PULL IT NOW.”
“Oh right.” Dante yanked on the plug and it came sailing out of the 3-pin
wall socket. Dante turned to Charlie, “Did we do it? Charlie?” Charlie was
frozen in mid air. “SMEG!!” Dante legged it of to the navi-deck. Stopping
only to give Aurora a sly peck on the cheek as he went by. Dante arrived in
the navi-deck and pushed McJohn from the pilot’s chair. He put his foot on
the clutch and put the dwarf in reverse.

“Alert, alert” Holly’s voice came over the loudspeakers “Summit’s ’append”
”Could you be more specific?” Dean Thomas’ voice was heard to say from the
flight deck.
“Err yeah…there’s been a release of toxic gas…or something’ hard to tell
with gases, you cant see em you see, hard to tell what they are”

Dante covered his face and slinked out, McJohn was hugely surprised to find
himself on the floor so quickly.
Dante got outside, his first thought was to get back to Aurora before any
thing else happened, then every thing went black. He was suddenly in a
pitch-black room. A bright light shown straight in his eyes.
“We’re the SCTP, you have committed a Time Offence…”
