A Misleading Segue

Who: Cerebrum
Where: Psychiatric offices
Cerebrum was busy filing some papers. He still used paper, despite now having access and partial control over the ships computer database. Mainly because paper fiels were much more impressive when used for blackmail purposes.
Suddenly, his secret subspace communicator beeped, indicating an incoming message from his secret superiors at the Agency of Secret Security.
“ASSHOLE Cerebrum here,” he said into the communicator, after making sure the door was closed. “What? Really? No. Yes. Yes. Really? Well, the same to you buddy.”
He hung up the communicator, a new assignment. There was a grave threat to the security of mankind, and only Cerebrum was in position to deal with. The fates of planets rested on his shoulders. Cerebrum wasted no time in activating his infiltration gear, and getting downstairs.
A short while later
Cerebrum adjusted the tie on his tuxedo, standard superspy issue, and dived out of the vent. Holographic sweat dripped down his face; he was at the most dangerous part of the assignment now. He had to locate the target fast. Wait, there he was! The time for thinking was over, it was time for some action!
Cerebrum leapt forward, and brought his arm around with a stunning forearm blow to the back of head. The man fell, and Cerebrum grabbed him by the collar.
“All right buddy,” Cerebrum growled, shaking the man. “You shortchanged my boss twenty-five pennycents the last time he was here. Pay up!”
