'Thought youd never ask!' Amber sighed.
'Yo, Gun, we want out!' From around them, a voice could be heard.
'Get Bent!' Keats smiled again.
'Yep, hes back to normal...'

Lt. Johnathon Keats, 22, awoke to find himself paralysed on the cold, metallic floor of Hanger 23. To his suprise, an attractive young lady next to him. A groan was heard, and he realised why he was paralysed. On top of him was the severaly UN-attractive mass of Jack Febuggre, Security guard. He had his elbow in his ear.
  "Get off me Jack!" Keats yelled and pushed the almost deadweight off him. As Amber opened her eyes tiny black dots swam out of her vision.
  "Where am I?" She mumbled. Keats peeled himself off the floor, dusted off his all-in-on flight suit and stretched.
  "Looks like were back in hanger 23" Keats looked about for a second, and sniffed "Ok Severn, out the vents!" It was silent for a second until Joseph Severn fell out of the vents holding a very suspect roll up. Keats tsk'ed and help Amber up. Amber managed a smile before she punched Severn in the face.
  "That's for making me feel like this." She growled at him. She kicked him in the shin. "And that is for smoking that god awfull stuff, do yu know what it can do?" She paled at the memories. Severn reeled back from the onslaught and chuckled before nursing his nose, ignoring the comment about his smoking 'habits'.
  "Hey, you asked for them! i merely provided them" He flinch as Amber raised her fist, this time to examine the layer of grease and oil across her knuckles.
  "Say, severn, whats with the Sirens?" Jack asked innocently. Amber listened for a moment, something in the back of her mind clicking, her face fell.
  "We're under attack! Keats follow me, we can use that new Aeron ship, unless you wanna use 'The Endymion'." She said as an explosion rocked the ship, causing Amber to stumble a bit. Keats glanced to the table that still held his temproal displacement drive. He looked at severn.
  "Hey, no worries, gimma a sec and i'll put it back in." Severn pressed a button and 'The Endymion' rose out of the hold, he flicked another button and the engine opend up. Still holding his roll up he grabbed a hammer and proceeded to 'carefully' reinstall it. It sparked dangerously.
  "Im in!" Keats chirped.
  "Fine then!" Amber said the excitement of a battle making her forget the symptoms of the flu. She ran off down the corridors and into the Shuttle Bay holding the aeron ship. She jumped into the fighter craft they had aquired from the aerons called 'The Demon'. She opened up a comm link to 'The Endymion'. "Last one out of the hanger is pirate bait!" She yelled.
  "You mean you have to use the hanger?" Keats gloated as a section of the Hull opend to reveal Severn's smuggling bay which housed 'The Endyion' He flicked a few buttons and the back wall was scorched as the fusion trails were released. "Still dont know if its ready." Keats grumbled. Severn was in the back seat toying with 'The Gun's(TM)' interface with 'The Endymion'. Amber transferred all the controlls to the main pilots chair and the dashboard infront of Amber changed slightly to accomodate the addition of the gunner controlls. She grinned and launced the small fighter into the battlefield. The ships were slightly different from the last attack, how anybody could modify a fleet in such a short time Amber didn't know, maybe she'd been unconscious for a while or had fallen asleep on duty. Keats armed the RAIL guns and checked the missle racks. All was ok. He opend up the comm
  "Hope youve got room for two more!" He said, spying the Demon leaving the hanger nearby. The comm crackled into life
  "Bout time you two showed up! Where you been at?" Keats smiled "Long story" he eased back in his chair, and opend up the throttle. Amber barrel-rolled the Demon to avoid a volley of fire from an enemy ship. She sighted the offender in the scanners crosshairs and fired of a round of laser fire that melted the smal bug like craft.
  "Good shot!" Keats had a monitor trained on the Demon at all times in case Amber needed help. Although Keats could still use the Nanos to sub-vocalise up to 5km, he felt it best if words were sent manually, instead of suddenly appearing in her eardrums. He primed a missle and fired it at a crippled ship trying to limp out of combat. "Booya! he aint going back to his kids." Grim determination crept onto Amber's face as she wasred another ship. She pulled the Demon around noticing the Phoenix.
  "Jay it's about time!" Amber said over the comms.
  "What are you on about Amber your the one who's just turned up!" He said.
  "Can you get all our guys back on the Dwarf whilst I cover you?" Amber said rolling her eyes. She only saw Jo on the monitors, her mind had gone back to the time when she had fought with the space pirates.
  "Amber there is no one hurt out here. Are you ok?" Jay said, but the comm link had died. Keats was running on pure adrenaline and blood lust. He fiddled witht he buttons and opend up the Comm
  "Hey Amber, betcha cant do this!" He applid braking thrusters and activated the top half of the engines. He started to spin rapidly around the pivot of the centre of his ship, until he cut engines and allowed 'The Gun(TM)' to realign the ship. He swung his head back and laughed manically.
  "Your moves are as good as Jays." She said, not noticing the open comm link to Keats, and looped around to the back of the Endymion. Amber opened fire but the ship rolled out of the way and spun around to face her. Keats had no time to open comms, he subvocalised. +JESUS LADY!+ He managed to dive down to avoid the collsion, the shields took the worst of the laser fire.
  "You trippin'?" There was no response. The Demon elegantly span to follow him, gliding through Fusion trails that could melt lead. Amber had sealed off the midsection of The Demon, thinking that it had been breached by a round of fire. The voice cae searing through her head as a high pitched whine. Amber fired and destroyed one of the landing legs of the Endymion. The little ship fell into a death roll.
  "I'm not gonna fall for that one, Jay taught me that move." Amber sped up and matched the death roll, surfing the fusion trails as if they wernt there, to her they wern't. She was about to fire again when Keats recovered from the corkscrew and skimmed the side of the Demon. "Smeg!" Amber yelled and fought with the Demon for control. She managed to pull the ship out of a wild spin and searched for the fighter on the her scanner. It wasn't there. Keats maanged to scream down the Nanos. +YOU SHOT ME! THIS IS AN ANTIQUE! YOU WOULDNT SHOOT A SMEGGING IKEA!+ (Ikea was a amuch sought after make these days) He flipped a a switch and activated the T.D.D. His ship extended to an infinite length for a fraction of a microsecond, then arrived at a point one lightyear away in a second of ship time (he actually arrived before he left, but hey!). Another high pitched whine screached through Amber's head. Amber panicked and looked around for the enemy ship, it was no where to be seen. Part of her expected the Demon to be rammed but it didn't come. There was a fizzel in Amber's brain and her memory jumped a few minutes she looked down at the blood on her arm, in the same place as it was when the console blew up in the fight with Jay. She blinked at the injury and then at the scanner. Her brain couldn't cope with the old memory and the contradicting information bombarding her senses. Her mind was telling her she was back then, but the information was wrong. There was another fizzel and Amber passed out. Keats turned round. '
  "Man, she flipped out Joe!"
  "Sure can choose em cant you, hehe... Whadd you know! I do have access to all security monitors on board." He looked up from his dog end for a second and continued "Even those n the lifts."  Keats balled his fist and punched the screen between them.
  "Im going back, gotta help her." He targeted the Blue Dwarf. Luckily, if he hit anything on the way, hed ben dead before he saw it. <Tag anyone>This joint post was brought to you by:Amber (Becca)
