Everybody looked around to find Seymour examining his shoes.
"They have dirt on them!" He moaned "They are suade it'll never
come out! Who's stupid idea was this anyway?" He stared accusingly at
the crowd of people. The crowd stared back.
"Well anyway... What i'm doing down here is looking for Dad, I need
to ask him something." Keats walked into the Cargo-Bay doing up the
top button on his shirt and froze in his tracks when he saw
Phil. "And Keats is over there." She said smiling and gestured that
it was ok for him to come over. Seymour, McJohn and Callum all glared
at Keats as he shifted nervously from foot to foot.
"Where were you when she was killed" Seymour shot accusingly at
Keats.
"I was urm... It's urm..." He fumbled for words. Amber put her arm
around him.
"He was with me." She said swallowing the large lump of guilt that
had appeared. "When we got back from fighting the bugs, we went back
to his quarters." She lied, and twisted the ring on her finger
nervously. She had no idea where John had been, but she trusted him
enough to believe what he said about Severn and the Endymion
malfunctioning.
