Amber woke up to something wet dripping on her face. Licking her lips
there was an iron tang to it. She gingerly opened her eyes, the pain
in her abdomen was quite strong. Appart from the dim glow of the
emergency lights and the intermitant crimson flare of the red alert
beacons the sight that greeted her face was that of two luminous eyes
and a great pair of jaws holding a dead crewmember in its spikey
teeth. Amber screamed and got a mouthfull of the saliva-blood mix
leaking out of the bugs mouth. Choaking Amber rolled off the medi-
bunk onto the floor. No one was around appart from the bug.
"They left me. The smeggers!" She said grabbing a scalpel and
sticking it into one of the the bugs eyes. Holding her bandaged
abdomen she ran out of the Medi-Bay, decided running was too painfull
and walked briskly to the Turbolifts.
"Keats?" She said on all frequencies "John? Jack? Severn?" She said
panic entering her subvocalised voice. She stumbled into the Shuttle
Bay only to find no shuttles there. Walking to the one next door with
a rising sense of panic she again found no one there or any
Shuttles. "JOHN!" She screamed "DON'T LEAVE ME BEHIND!" There as a
scuttleing noise behind her. "Oh gods no...." She subvocalised in
fear before screaming.
