Things are thawing out, and another volunteer

<snip>
"I volunteer" he said, getting some wierd looks. "Your going to need
someone to sabotage the engines and i'm the flight engineer, that
makes me an expert on engine's"
"You do realise this could be a very dangerus mission?" said Jay.
"Sounds like fun" replied Kochanski...

"What does?" interrupted Mark McJohn, who had appeared in the doorway.
"What happened to you?" asked Severn, indicating McJohn's clothes,
which were spattered with bits of exoskeleton and large dots of
hymenoptera blood.
"Oh, this. Well, I've got some bad news."
"What?" asked Jay.
"I was working in the refrigeration plant with Sandoval, Zamakis and
Cargill when we found two hymenoptera in one of the meat lockers,"
said McJohn casually.
"What happened?" demanded Alota.
"Cargill's dead, so we're gonna need a new catering supervisor.
Zamakis and I managed to electrocute one of the bugs, Elian, err
Technician Sandoval, blew the head off the other one. I guess I got a
bit too close to it."
"I thought you said there was bad news," said Phil, who had never
liked Cargill. In fact, almost nobody had liked him.
"Well yeah, I was getting to that. One of the bugs did a number on
the refrigeration machinery."
Alota looked at him. "Meaning what?"
"Well, I've got Jones, Scandola, O'Hanlon and Bellamy working on the
mechanicals, Abramowicz is checking out the power supply terminal and
Zamakis is checking over the feed lines with Sandoval."
The others looked at him.
"And?" demanded Alota.
"Well, the long and short of it is that if we can't get it fixed in
time. We'll be living on dry salami and beef jerky."
"Oh smegging hell," said Seymour.
"In the mean time," said McJohn, gesturing towards Kochanski, "I'll
volunteer for whatever muggins there is volunteering for."
"You're volunteering for something you know nothing about because
Kochanski's volunteering?" Dean replied quizzically.
"Yes. You do want it done correctly, right?"
