- Five minutes or im dead..........
Chris drew his sword again and peered round the corner into the darkness,
Jack at his side, at first it seemed that thee was nothnig there, but when
the walked round the corner, they were confronted with several dozen angry
pirates, a look of pure evil was being put upon the pair, standing side by
side at the other end of the corridor.
"You think we can manage this lot Jack?", whispered Chris.
"You have to hope, you have to ho......", Jack's sentence was cut short by
the loud echoing shouts of the pirates as they charged upon the duo, who
stood with their swords raised.
They dispensed with the synchro in this fight, for there was simply too many
of them to deal with, and concentrate on making their timing inch perfect at
the same time. Jack started the onslaught against the pirates, wielding his
sword like you've never seen before, Chris stood in amazement, until the
pirates realised he was there, at which point he was forced to defend
himself.
One of the pirates fired a volley of machine gun fire at Jack, who simply
knocked the bullets away, he then turned and emtied his gun once more on
Chris, Chris , being a hologram, was practically indestructible, except for
in one vital area, of this, you will find out more later..........
"JACK, WE HAVE TO GET OUTTA HERE NOW, IF WE DONT WE'RE BOTH GONNA GET OUR
ARSES KICKED!"
"I THINK YOU'RE RIGHT, SHALL WE MAKE A BREAK FOR IT OR PULL BACK"
"WE'RE SCREWED IF WE PULL BACK, THEY'LL CUT OFF ALL OUR ESCAPE ROUTES"
"LETS MAKE A BREAK FOR IT THEN!"
Chris turned to wait for his companinon, and as he arrived, they legged it,
doing whatever they had to to get back to the phoenix.
"THE DOOR" shouted Chris as he realised that the door in front of the was
closing and that they wouldnt make it under in time unless they ran real
fast..."
They just reached the door in time, and stood and watched as it closed
behind them.
"That was close" said Chris, and Jack nodded in agreement
"We're only about 3 minutes away from the phoenix now, we just have to make
sure nothing bad happens, and we're safe"
HALF A MINUTE LATER
Chris and Jack peered round the corner, there was ntohing there, or so they
thought..........
10 pirates appeared from round a corner and all cocked machine guns, Jack
and Chris legged it in the direction of the phoenix, they were just two and
a half minutes run away from it, until.......
"AAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" shouted Chris, as
dozens of bullets pierced his chest.
"It cant hurt that much can it, you're a hologram" said Jack, puzzled.
"You dont understand mate....." whispered Chris
"Why, whats happened" added Jack, a semi-worried look on his face, which is
suprising from Jack.
"They've got my lightbee, you'll need to get me back to the ship, and fast,
so that they can download my physical form and memory onto the ships
computers, just to the phoenix, thats it, but you wont have long..."
"How long?" questioned Jack
"You've got five minutes, or im dead.........."
