Back to normal...well, semi-normalesque anyway

Kara streched her arms out after the grueling training exercise. She
walked over to Smith and bumped him with her elbow. "Wanna go have a
drink?" She asked with a smile.

"Sure, I'd love it," interrupted McJohn, who was standing next to
Smith scratching the stubble that had grown on his face since the
simulation had started. He knew he should have shaved before
reporting to the AR room, but he'd wasted too much time playing
around on Microsoft Flight Simulator 2104 to get around to it.
"I wasn't asking you," Kara answered.
"Oh. ... Why not?"
"What?"
"Why not?"
"Does it matter?"
"Does what matter?"
"What?"
"What what?"
This pointless back and forth conversation between Kara and McJohn
continued for about thirty seconds before Smith nudged Kara. "Can we
just go, Kara?" he asked.
"Yes," she sighed with relief.
Kara and Smith left. "Who's on first!" McJohn called after them. Then
he wandered over to where Cerebrum was finishing his lecture on
psychiatric evaluations with the words "I'll be in my office if you
need me."
After Cerebrum left, McJohn looked around and quickly moved to leave
the room.
"Where are you going in such a hurry?" asked Dante.
"I'm off to jam the electrical circuit that locks Cerebrum's office
door," McJohn answered jauntily.
