Back to the Future. Well, back to Earth after 50 years in stasis...

Who: Shane O'Riley
Where: Planet Earth.
When: When Seymour, Amber & CK went to New Ibiza.
Shane felt good as he stretched his legs on Earth again, even if it
was in Manchester. He walked from the Starbug he flew from the BD to
the desk at Manchester Starport. He waited as customs scanned him and
his meagre luggage and then moved on to the Space Corps debriefing room.
"Interesting." The bored Space Corps officer told Shane, as he was
part way through telling him what happened in stasis and on the
Hymenopterran homeworld.
When he finished, the Space Corps officer briefly filled Shane in on
major changes in society in the last 50 years - yes, beer is still
popular, and for some unknown reason, so is ice tea.
Then, he went to the JMC offices, so they could pay him for the work
he did on the trip back to Earth, and charge him astronomical fees for
his rescue.
"Now, you owe us a fair sum for your rescue, and seeing as you have no
money, you'll have to continue to work for us. I've looked at your
resume, and I think you'll be best suited as our representative aboard
the Blue Dwarf."
Yes, they did look at his resume, and various other documents about
him. They decided that they wanted him far away from them, and gave
him the lowest paying job they had, that he could actually perform.
Therefore, they made him the JMC representative aboard the Blue Dwarf,
and he had to quickly board the Blue Dwarf before it left Earth again.
Shane went to the bar and quickly drank a beer before boarding the
trasnport that would return him to the Blue Dwarf. Shane was not very
happy, as he was hoping to do some more sightseeing, but didn't care
too much, as he knew he would prefer the solitude that his position
would ensure.
