Who: Winters, Thomas (in a way), McJohn, Kochanski, Boddington, Lustbader, Goode and ?Keats? And if there is anyone else around.Where: Drive room and 'The Space Eagle'When: Meeting’s over((OOC: Thanks a lot Chris :p You made me/Guinevere look like an idiot, there’s no way she’s the next Jasmine now. I didn’t name the male because I wasn’t entirely sure who was there.Seeing as everyone wants a piece of Guinevere I hoped I’ve spliced the posts effectively. <<Does a little jig>>I
understand that ‘The Endymion’ was destroyed and Keats is no longer a pilot hence why in my own writing I have referred to either in that effect. The colours make it easier for me, (When I’m replying to more then one post) sorry if they don‘t make it easier for any of you, black is what I‘ve added and the light orange is the necessary bits and for decoration. In saying that Yahoo! will probably stuff up my colouring now.))IC:<<SNIP>>"Hey." She said stepping in front of the chosen male/victim. "I'm new aboard, just got in a couple of hours back and been down at Parrotts with Lustbader, McJohn and Goode. My names Guinevere Winter's, I'm an engineer, technician and all rounder mechanic." Her hand was out to be shaken as she awaited a response.<<END SNIP>><<SNIP>>"Umm.. Guinevere, I know that technology is pretty wonderful these days, but even so, I AM on a comm-screen. I'm currently several klicks away, reloading a ship full of missiles to guard a ship full of beer." Dean paused. "Gosh, it sounds so simple when you put it like that. Still, there's a gentleman over there..." Guinevere looked around, "Nope, other side." Guinevere looked over her other shoulder, "...who would be more than happy to chat with you. Still, if you're an all-rounder mechanic you can help me give the Raven a check-up at some point. Over and out." Dean flicked the switch to kill the transmission, shaking his head at Guinevere's mistake whilst pumping his fist in celebration of the 'official-isation' of his temporary promotion. He punched himself in the
face. Shuddering, grimacing and muttering slightly, he decided that her mistake was more likely just down to nerves at being fresh meat on board.<<END SNIP>>Guinevere rolled her eyes at Dean on the comm-screen, did he really think that she was that stupid to think he was actually there, but then her hand did instinctively extend to be shaken, that had been a stupid move. She had thought Dean to be another head on a screen like Holly but if he was defending a ship full of beer like he said he was then she guessed that he wasn’t. *Well if he’s defending a ship full of beer he can’t be too bad* She thought to herself after everything that she had been told about Dean.Guinevere found herself hoping that Dean would be back on Blue Dwarf sooner rather then later, she wanted to have a look at ‘The Raven’ which she rightly presumed would be a smaller ship of sorts and if it
happened to be his ship then she’d be in for a even bigger delight, most guys didn’t let a girl, qualified or not touch their ship in that way.She turned around from the screen and was about to approach the guy Dean had pointed to, but he was already on his way out of the Drive Room, she looked around for someone to introduce herself to when …<<SNIP>>Callum looked up from the papers that had been left for him on the briefing table to see a woman with her hand extended towards someone. He quickly wiped the engine oil from his hand onto his overalls and shock hers before any of the other guys got a chance. "Callum Kochanski". He said in his Scottish accent, "Nice to meet you". "Hi". Guinevere replied wondering who this grubby Scotsman was. "What department are you in?" "I’m chief flight engineer on the ship, in charge of all
shuttles, support craft and maintenance of Blue Dwarf her self." "I thought that would be McJohn?" Guinevere asked. "McJohn? Pfft, He’s just the beurocrat. Its my boys who do all the work." Callum scoffed, trying to impress the new engineer. "Tell me Guinevere, The flight deck is in a mess right now with all the repairs but how would you like a quick tour?<<END SNIP>>Guinevere smiled at Callum’s accent, being among the accent’s she had a weak spot for. She wished that she was in her own oil stained overalls instead of the ridiculous JMC black standard uniform she had on to look good for her first day. She liked that this guy was clearly trying to impress her and it was working.“Winters!” Eric Lustbader called out from the Drive room main exit, before Guinevere could answer Callum.“You’re shifts officially started, Lustbader will show you to your quarters to get
changed then your to follow him down to the hangers.” Mark McJohn said in case Guinevere or Callum thought that Eric was only trying to steel her away.“Yes Sir.” Guinevere said in a rather official way, though without a salute.“You can try impressing her later Kochanski, right now we’re in the middle of a war.” McJohn added, to the face Callum was pulling.Guinevere didn’t bother to point out to her superior that that she and he and others had been drinking during ‘this war’ so what was the harm in a little friendly flirting in the Drive room, the meeting was over after all, but she decided to wait until she had been on board for more then half a day before talking back.“If you’re not down there we’ll have to catch up later.” Guinevere said smiling at the Scotsman before leaving the Drive room to follow Eric.“Any idea what I’m doing first?” Guinevere asked Eric on the way to her quarters, to which the two were walking quite fast.“Your
first away mission.”“Brilliant!” Guinevere gasped and started running, pulling Eric along to run too as she had no idea where to go.-----------------------------------------------------------------------------<<SNIP>>Keats had finished prepping 'The Endymion', his modified 20th century Mig-25 fighter, while showing it to Guinevere Winters. She had not seen anything quite like it before. In fact, nobody had upon seeing it the first time - an antique atmospheric jet fighter modified for use in a vacuum. Johnny was prepping the Pheonix, while Eric was helping CJ Boddington prep the Space Eagle. "You've certainly got guts mate." Keats said to Johnny when he found out he was going to fly the Pheonix. "Meh. You never know, seeing it might make him realise he'd rather be on our side. Besides, Holly suggested it." "Winters, I want
you to fly with Boddington, as the Space Eagle is much larger than either The Endymion or The Pheonix. I'm sure you are capable with operating the scanners? Lustbader won't be joining us on this mission, so it'd be handy to have an engineer with your skills on this mission." Eric Lustbader walked to the airlock technician, as the others entered their crafts. The red lights near the hangar bay doors started flashing, warning of the impending vacuum. The doors opened, and the three crafts took off, heading to the planet that Dean and the Raven were departing from.<<END SNIP>>Guinevere was sporting her usual attire. ((See profile)) Down in the hanger the guys were prepping ‘The Phoenix’ and ‘The Space Eagle’, getting both ready for the away mission. Guinevere was marvelling over ‘The Phoenix’ while
being told about ‘The Raven’ which was Dean’s ship after all and ‘The Endymion’ which now only existed in millions of pieces, nobody added if any one had kept those pieces in the hope to rebuild.Guinevere began thinking that if she had the time she’d like to build her own ship, though not to fly as she wasn’t a pilot, she’d be happy for other’s to fly it as long as she could build it and maintain it or to be more exact, play with it. But would she start with a star bug or blue midget. ‘The Space Eagle’ reminded her of her recently deceased brother’s ship ‘The Wren’, she tried not to look at it as the memory of Christopher was still painful. She was suddenly shaken by ‘The Space Eagle’ and silently prayed to be put on ‘The Phoenix’It wasn’t long before Guinevere found herself behind the console of ‘The Space Eagle’ with CJ at the helm, talking to one another. Thankfully, this ships interior was nothing like her brother’s and it was bigger too, she breathed slowly, she
wasn’t one for being anything other then an engineer or passenger on smaller vessels. She took hold of the radio control before Boddington could stop her.“Thomas, this is Winter’s … Over.” Guinevere decided to use audio only for now as she had embarrassed herself enough with Dean in the Drive room.“It’s Guinevere isn’t it … Look I’m sorry but I really don’t have time to chat now either, I’m in enemy airspace.”Guinevere took note of Dean’s lack of official use of the comm-system.“Thomas this isn’t a social call, ‘The Space Eagle’ is heading your way … Over and Out.” Guinevere kept it short as he had said he was in enemy airspace, she also didn’t mention ‘The Phoenix’ leaving that up to it’s own crew.“What you’re a pilot as well as an engineer.” Dean came back over the speaker.Guinevere gave an impatient sigh before reaching for the comm again.“No, Boddington is Pilot … Winter’s Over and Out.”CJ smiled, “You two know one
another already, I thought you only just got on board today.”“Yeah I did, we talked over the comm in the drive room, about an hour ago.”<<TAGGER, TAGGER, TAGGER, CJ and those on the radio‘s or anyone who jumped aboard ‘The Space Eagle‘ before it took off.>>((OOC: I haven’t been on Onion’s ship before … interesting … ‘The Phoenix’ and I, well Jasmine on the other hand have history. That ship is quite the dance partner.))GUINEVERE WINTERS, ENGINEER
