Just Taking a Walk

OOC: I actually find this whole hunt a tad amusing and a bit farfetched considering the circumstances.
1) We are assuming the Slaver's Jack killed were missed by anyone who cared or that they were in constant contact with others and found by guards with in a few hours before the wildlife got to them.
2) We are assuming the same guards somehow managed to find and capture all the freed slaves in the few hours the Slaver's were killed with no idea that the crime even occured. One would think the slaves would get killed by the wild life first and they did remove the chains and take the clothes and supplies of the slavers so there was little proof they were slaves since the guards had no real records to go by on hand and I doubt the freed slaves would willingly confess.
3) We are assuming the slaves could somehow or willingly draw a good picture of Jack or even gave a good description to an artist even though he freed them. Honestly they could have just lied or not remembered. Hec I would have accused and Ogre.
4) We are assuming all this was concluded as Jack was in town for just a few hours (Approx in six hours by foot). Honestly this supposed crime unit is far better than the current one of today since we have more tech and still have to do a full investigation.
5) We are also assuming that the Sheriff was able to get a mass production of pictures of Jack's face to share through out the town in that same small amount of time without the aid of a copy machine or the internet.
6) So in the span of six hours that Jack killed the second group of slaver's the Sheriff was able to:
a) Find the dead slavers.
b) Find all the disguised freed slaves.
c) Somehow get a matching description of Jack.
d) Mass produce his picture several times accurately.
e) Circulate the pictures around to key people.
f) Get lucky enough to actually spot Jack even though all elves look a like.
g) Hunt him to the exact place he went to even though he left no trail and changed his direction several times.
h) can we assume a retired Assassin is that bored she needs to go through the time and expense to hunt down some stranger named Jack based on the word of a stranger instead of buying a new slave or just pick her slave up at the Sheriff's office where they are all apparently staying at. Oddly how did she manage to get word so quickly?
i) We are also assuming that the laws favor slavers over other merchants for vigilantes. Technically Jack's hunters are breaking the same laws Jack is being accused of and hiding behind a lot of pompous words in the name of the queen. If this was allowed why would anyone even set up a business in Dalen knowing anyone with a hint of influence and storm in to their business and destroy it on a whim?

I get everyone wants in on hunting poor Jack but the tensions are getting high and it could ruin the game if we begin going overboard. I get that Oru is just a hired gun, but Kalena is just a blood thirsty psycho since she is hunting a stranger for no real benefit. She has no qualms of killing others in her way even if they are innocent. So if she can get away with that.......why is she not wanted as well?

Just pointing out the holes in the plot. ;)

========================================================
Considering how belligerent and infuriating Madam Jocelynn had been, Kalena felt much satisfaction in the woman's turnabout.
"Fine..." Madam Jocelynn said, going over to the desk and returning with an odd key. "Here, just don't get blood everywhere. Check that side." She pointed to the side Jack was on. "I personally know the person occupying the only one on the other side and he is human."
"You'll forgive us if we don't take your word on that," Kalena said coldly, snatching the key and turning her back on the Inn Keeper, with a show of contempt.

After hearing that his hunters were coming up the stairs Jack sighed as he decided to change his tactics. Since he looked like a mountain man he could easily pass as someone else so he pulled out his old fur coat and slung it on the bed. Then he told LrLu to be patient and quiet as he tied a rope to her gunny sack prison and lowered it mostly into his magical backpack and tied the rope to the handle to keep it from dropping all the way in. Then he slung his backpack on and his fur coat over it. Then he simply walked out of the room and walked down the opposite way Oru was coming and headed downstairs.

As he approached the entrance he saw a hostile woman with a bow aimed at everyone and the Hostess looking upset as he guard was hit with an arrow. He raised an eyebrow at her as he approached.

Jack: Sorry Madam Jocelynn, but this place is just to loud and violent. I'll be heading into town today.

He looked at Kalena with his hands in the air as he slowly walked out the door with a look of concern on his face like he not wanting to get involved. After he walked out the door he walked toward the town he had just escaped as if to make his escape look convincing. Once he rounded the thick trees he pulled out the gunny sack from the magical backpack so she could breath normally since it was not made to keep live animals in it. Once he had her over his shoulder he bolted through the forest while walking on air hoping to put some distance between him and his nut job hunters.
