Making sense of her movements, he shrugged. “I spend most of my time ou’ in these forests- a little bugger won’t botha’ me any.” The melody he heard escaping her sounded difficult to follow, and outright odd. Widening his eyes as an ‘Oookay’, without her knowledge was his way of tolerating it. After a while it didn’t bother him so much- though he wouldn’t have been too bent up if she stopped. It wasn’t too long before he started to hear footsteps that weren’t nearly as light as the beings. The hair on the back of his neck stood up. He attempted to harness the adrenaline that started to flow smoothly through him. He stepped just off to the side of the creature so he would have enough room to attack.

Hearing a loud yell, and words that were imperceptible due to his adrenaline rush, he turned on his heel. His arm swung back, moving forward he released his sword from his right hand. It took nearly two seconds for the blade to slice through the air, and land perfectly intact with the tree the imposter was standing behind. After the sword landed her could make out the faint “you” that was coming from the intruder. “Bloody hell.”
