Closing the Distance

Ceriden rose as Sabina approached.

"Here is the clothes I've bought for him. Would you please make him put it on?"

"Ah, dark colors, good thinking," Ceriden replied. Yes, I will encourage him to change once we clean him off. Hopefully he will figure out how to make less of a mess next time he eats."

Ceriden telekinetically draped the clothes Sabina had purchased over a high branch. "We can worry about that later, though. First let's find a stream for our bloody friend to bathe in. That new outfit won't do him much good if he puts in on while he's in this state."

In truth, Ceriden knew some magic he could use to clean Gareth off, but he needed an excuse to get close to the spy without explicitly telling Sabina about the spy. He had very little faith in Sabina's ability to maintain her composure if she realized that they were being watched.

Ceriden looked at Gareth, who still appeared to be fast asleep. "He will slumber for awhile yet I suspect. Can you accompany me as I search for this stream, and perhaps we can discuss our next steps as we do so?" Ceriden didn't really care what the spy heard at this point, as his/her fate was hopefully sealed.

(OOC - I was tempted to assume Sabina followed and continue the post, but I'm not sure if that would be a breach of the rules or not. So anyway, I don't know if I left you much of a prompt to go off of, but this is it for now.)
