Giving a Little Ground

"I'm so sorry Ceriden, but you have no idea of what will happen to me if I loose this book. And you already have murdered one man, the spy, and used his soul to create that.. that thing. So, Ceriden, please help me with this spell and bring back an innocent man."

Ceriden sighed. "Well... okay. I'm sorry that bad things might happen to you if you lose the book, but maybe you should have thought of that before you agreed to give it to me for offering services to you that have since resulted in me becoming an outlaw in my own homeland. I've said it twice, and I'll say it a third time, but me getting that book is not negotiable. However, if you give it to me and promise to fall in line, I will help you with your spell. We will do your spell on that spy, which I know does not look like whoever it is you want resurrected, but I don't want to take any more innocent life. Although for the record, that spy did try to kill me."

Raising three fingers, Ceriden stated, "Okay, so we have three options. One, you hand me the book, and we part ways from there. Two, you hand me the book, and we perform this spell on the spy when I am ready. Three, you don't give me the book, and I will utilize violent force to wrest it from your grasp. The choice is yours."

Ceriden eyed her closely as he tried to prepare for her reaction.
