Good Riddance To An Apartment

Kent was silent for a long time, listening intently as he silently prayed the cop didn't notice exactly who he was. They seemed focused enough that they weren't noticing him, so he stepped over to Tam and set a hand on her shoulder gently. "We can get there, but panicking won't fix anything." He explained to her in as calm a voice he could muster.

After a moment of thinking, he added, "I'll help however I can."

River frowned, slight panic rising in the back of her mind. "Serenity, is there a way we can get to the hospital as quickly as possible?" She inquired, hoping her friend would have a solution. "Maybe it can get Tam there quick. I know we may need to stay behind and answer questions..."

She hated answering police questions.

Kevin stared at Max for a long moment before nodding. "Yeah, that's fine," He said to his friend. "Wait here, Bonnie"

Once the car was stopped, the blond ran up to his apartment and collected everything he needed. Inside the apartment, he grabbed basically everything he owned, which wasn't much - clothes, toiletries, toys for Bonnie, and her food. There were no posters or anything in the apartment that really made it look like he actually lived there.

With everything in hand, he stepped out of the apartment. Before going downstairs, he took off the apartment key from his keyring and tossed it into the apartment before slamming the door shut. "Good riddance, dick." He muttered.

Returning to the car, he set his backpack into the seat next to Bonnie, who sniffed at it for a moment. Recognizing the scents all over it, she curled up against the old raggedy pack.

"Sorry it took so long," Kevin told Max. "Lets get going."
