Tam shrugged as she looked to Kent and tilted her head. "Well you and I don't have to get our nails done. We could grab some lunch at the food court and maybe catch a movie at the dollar theater?" It was then that a bolt of panic struck through her as she realized that she basically just asked Kent to go out on a date with her. But she quickly found herself not really worrying, because whatever this was she knew she just liked being with Kent. The fact that she was desperate to distract herself from the insanity that was what happened to her father and brother was still prevalent in her mind, but even so...

She smiled to Serenity and River. "Not that I wouldn't love to get my nails done too, but Kent here would be so bored." She didn't realize she was blushing.

Very hard. Was what Max wanted to say, but he just shrugged and went back to petting Bonnie. "I don't think anything's going to come of it." He kept mindlessly petting the possum as he tried to fight back the panic that was rising up in the back of his mind.

A part of him really wished Kevin had just left it be. Because now he had to face a very difficult thing he had long since learned to ignore. That he was terrible with women and had long since given up on ever having a long lasting relationship with one.

He tried to focus on something else. "So you're babysitting a ferret, right?" He asked. "You're welcome to have it here, of course. We can make space for it."
