Sick

Kent nodded, keeping quiet as he tried to stay focused on the situation at hand. He wanted to be here for Tam, but his mind kept going back to the conversation with his father. The man had been calm on the phone for once, too calm. It frightened him to no end.

When his father was this calm it usually meant something bad.

River nodded and went to the car with everyone, curious as to how all of this would pan out.

Kevin stirred suddenly and blinked as he looked to Max. "What?" He grumbled and scratched at his chin. "What helps?" A weak laugh escaped him as he pushed back his blond hair and pulled Max into a drunken hug. "You and Bonnie talking about silly things without me?"

Bonnie was up to Max's shoulders by now and pressed a little paw to Kevin's head as if trying to comfort him.

"You wanna know what I hated most about it, Max...for...fer...er...a second...yeah, a second...I enjoyed that fuckin' kiss she gave me." He grunted and rested his head on Max's shoulder. "I feel sick..."
