River was silent the entire time, just watching as Serenity's lawyers laid down the law.

Kent was so happy to hear Tam's voice, but had to take a moment before he could answer. "I...my dad got me arrested." He said in a choked voice. "They said I tried to steal the truck...they're talking like they want to put me in prison this time because of my record."

The tone in Kent's voice was pure defeat.

When Kevin returned from his shower, he glanced to Max and had to sigh. A part of him felt he might need to find his own place soon. He did not wish to hurt his friend by being around all the time as a reminder of what he wanted.

Bonnie, however, happily laid down upon Max's chest and happily fell asleep there.
