I Am Not Sorry

River watched and listened calmly, nibbling on a bag of chips. "This is gonna be so cool." She said with a smile that turned into a frown when Kent finally walked in. It was not that she disliked him, but that she could not get over her fear of his gender. "Hey." The word came out more stiffly than she intended.

Layla raised an eyebrow at the possum and silently brushed off Max's words. Offering him a smile, she returned to her shopping and was soon gone after paying. Without the truck around, it was obvious she was walking her way home.

Bonnie let out a snort as the blue haired bitch left, attracting even more attention to the man and his "rabid" possum.

Kevin groaned later that night at his last customer. "Again, that's not what you do..." He said and explained to the customer what they needed to do properly. It took over an hour before he finally got the idiot out of the pet shop and began to clean up.

By the time he was done, he had to wash up in the back and make sure all the inventory was accounted for. Thanks to the last customer he had a killer headache and was in no mood for any kind of trouble.

Too bad the blond never could escape trouble.

"Do you always leave the back door unlocked when you close up?"

Kevin froze in the middle of zipping his backpack shut, panic spiraling through his head.
