Time To Meet and A Phonecall

River was unsure how to answer Serenity, but offered Jonah a small smile. She wanted to tell him he was a handsome man, but the fear of men kept her mouth shut. Plus, after what had just happened, she felt it would be odd.

All she really wanted to do was sleep the day away.

Instead, she looked at the time. "Serenity, you need to get ready to meet up with Yazuhiko." She said.

Kent grunted and was so happy Tam could not see him blushing as his stomach growled. "Breakfast would be nice..." He murmured with a chuckle. "Just be careful, beautiful. I think Chris wants you home."

Mr. Andrews gave a soft laugh that sounded a lot like Kevin's. "My son always did bring home odd animals when he lived on the farm. We once had to take care of a deer because he refused to let it walk around with a limp." Sighing softly, he smiled and looked down at the book in his hands. "I'm happy he has such a good friend in you, Max. You've helped him adjust to life off the farm very well."

That was when he heard a phone going off and looked to Max.
