Looking Over

Kent grimaced as he looked to Tam and Chris for a moment. "This is an old...acquaintance of mine, Brandon." He said stiffly.

Brandon snorted. "We used to be best friends," He retorted. "Guess growing up means you forget the people you were loyal to back in the day, huh?"

The brunette bit his lip. "I left a long time ago, Brandon. I don't intend to go back." He explained, a slight shiver going through him. "Just go back to your friends..."

Brandon merely shrugged and waved to them as he turned and walked away. Kent had a sinking feeling it would not be the last time they'd see him.

Mr. Andrews watched Max, noting the look in his eyes for a brief moment. He was well aware of the man's preferences, but did not wish to press him about it. Instead, he let the writer take Bonnie and chose to take a seat nearby.

When they were done talking, River walked over to Serenity, Lisa, and Max. Yazuhiko followed and ruffled up the photographer's hair gently. "River told me about what happened this morning, Serenity. Why don't we talk about your routine tomorrow?" He said with a kind smile, nodding to Max kindly. "Sorry to interrupt the lesson. I just wanted to let her know..."

River noticed how Yazuhiko looked over Max and smiled softly before sitting down. "What are you trying to teach them, Max?" She asked, trying to be nice.
