Fear And Excitement

Kent was so happily content with the perfection of this moment that he silently wished it would never end and did not realize when he fell asleep. It was when he woke up later to his phone ringing that he grunted and answered it, instantly recognizing Brandon's voice on the other end.

Glancing to Tam to make sure she was sleeping, he frowned. "How did you get my number?" He muttered and listened to the cold chuckle that was Brandon's response. "Look, I left...let it go. Let me go and fuck off."

"You know too much, though, Kent." Brandon's voice was cold. "And they want you to pay for getting half of us arrested when you left."

Kent went silent, glaring at the television now. "What do you want? He whispered.

Another chuckle from Brandon. "You know what we want and you'll get it for us. Keep your pretty bitch out of it, though, or we'll make her and that brat hurt more than you do."

The line went dead and Kent could only stare at the wall as he put his phone away. Alll the perfection and happiness was gone for him and he knew he would do anything to protect his new family.

River felt a little jolt of fear at the thought of being alone in a house with someone of the opposite sex, but then she recalled he had a sister and the fear calmed down a little. "Sounds..." She began as she looked over another apple. "Sounds good to me. Uh...what time should I show up?"

Despite the fear still biting at her stomach, the anxiety telling her not to be stupid enough to think anyone could love her, and even the frustration at how most disliked people that dressed like her, River was trying to be positive about this. She found Jonah handsome and wanted to give him a chance.

She just hoped her fear would not get in the way.

Yazuhiko took a moment to look over the schedule he had with Serenity and smiled. "Is Wednesday good for you? Serenity does not have any practice that day, so I will be free." He explained. "We can go wherever you like."

Bonnie and Junior crawled over to Max and looked up at him, waiting to see what he would do. They were just as excited as he had to be.
