Bonnie adjusted slightly to be less obvious, feeling back for digging her claws into Max, but the fabric of his shirt was not like his jacket at all. It was too thin and the little possum worried she was going to rip it.

Letting out a deep breath he had been holding, Kevin stepped inside and was instantly noticed by the guy at the counter.

"Oh, for the love of...not you again!" The brunette said with a frown as his amber eyes fell onto the blonde. "You know you're not welcome here if you brought your rat with you."

"Bonnie isn't a rat and I didn't bring her today." Kevin chimed with a smile and even opened his backpack as proof. "See, Kent?"

Kent, the brunette, snorted in disbelief as his eyes glanced toward Max. "Better not have that thing with you. What do you want?" He inquired with arms crossed over his chest. Being the local bad boy meant everyone assumed he was a jerk, which annoyed him greatly. "If you're not going to get ice cream..."

"Oh, I'll have some." Kevin perked up and glanced to Max. "Want some? I'll pay this time."
