12.02: Ni-Bump-ght

After the movie ended she changed to Youtube to play music videos. Jenny was trying to figure out what she wanted to do with her life, she had choices. Not many in her opinion but a few choices were better than known. She was looking through the classes for something that might interest her. Most of the classes were geared towards learning something useful. She wanted something like learning to ride a motorcycle like the community college three towns over did. Maybe pottery or painting. As she was pursuing the course catalog she got a funny feeling. She tried to ignore it, to write it off as nerves. She found that running always helped when she was anxious, nervous, or any number of other feelings.

She got dressed. She left the mansion and started running around the island. She reached a really beautiful spot where the moon's reflection hit the water just right. She wanted to jump in and swim to the middle of the reflection and just float in the reflection. She didn't, she rather not know what drowning felt like. She kept on running the funny feeling never went away.

He said there were no ghosts. Maybe this is that other thing he mentioned. What was it? Repetant? Reptilant? Repugnant? No that can't be it that's how mama always described grandmama's cooking.

She began to wander the island with her eyes closed so she could focus on the feeling. She had been doing that for about a minute when she accidentally walked into a broken branch whose sharp end impaled her. "Damn it." She backed off the branch. She surveyed the damage. She threw her hands up in disgust. "I just got clean clothes now they are ruined." She sat down. "Stupid mutation. Why couldn't I get something awesome instead of disgusting? Why did he have to destroy my life?" She pulled her knees to her chest. She buried her face into her legs and started to cry.

After an hour of crying she pulled herself together. She headed back to the mansion. She set down on the steps. She was trying to think who she could talk to about it. If she should talk to someone about it. Who would believe her after their magical expert said there were none. Asserting herself was never her strong suit. The last time she asserted herself was to leave her hometown, which resulted in her death. She decided to ignore it, she was not asserting herself again. She was subconsciously afraid that her life would be ruined again if she did. She went back to her room. She resolved to ignore this feeling no matter what.
