19: Shen Li (Kang Park-Min post)

I could tell that Shen was really taken with the media studio. He was as passionate about animation as I was about dancing. I could almost see his brain ticking over at the possibilities of what he might do here.
“You won’t be disturbing me,” I told him. “I doubt you would cause more disturbance than the nine I used to live with, even if you tried very very hard.” I thought back to my time with Aces and the absolute chaos that reigned sometimes.
“Maybe we can look at some of your work later,” I suggested. “All the dorm rooms here are tech enabled. I know that much. We could look at your favourite pieces.
“Our room is kind of our home here but we have desks to do our schoolwork on. I doubt your animation kit would take up much more space. And besides if you can’t animate there I can’t dance, that would be unfair. I am fairly quiet, I have ear buds and am not that demonstrative.”
Like a lot of students back home I had learned how to study and I was pretty good at it. One of the reasons I had not fallen behind in my academic work during my months in a band.
It was a good question, as to why there were so few students here.
What I had been told was that there had been a small group of students for a few years to see if the idea of the school was feasible. Now they were actively finding mutants that might need help. I know I had. More were arriving all the time. It stalled for a bit when the school’s founder Charles Xavier died but more students and staff were being recruited all the time.
