04.17: Harry Rutherford

“If you had encountered a revenant, you wouldn’t remember it. The chances are, given your affinity with ghosts, you wouldn’t be around to know you had met a revenant. And the red light is not slow,” Harry said, wondering why Dee was so suddenly jittery. “You can sit up, the glass is tinted, no one can see you.”
You didn’t just get told you were an X-Man you had to earn it. They didn’t just stick you out on the field and hope for the best. The school didn’t just teach it’s students how to use their powers, those who wanted to help their fellow mutants were trained. Trained in what Colonel Rhodes called ‘trade craft’, Harry called them spy skills. Surveillance, counter surveillance, defensive driving… It was a long skill list. It helped that Professor Xavier had married one of the premier intelligence people in America, if not the world.
“Don’t worry, we have taken a route to ensure no one is following us. The only people who know where we are are my people. Our tech is better than anyone’s. Even Stark can’t do what we can do.”
The light changed and Harry drove on.
“I am not talking personal experience here, the inimical nature of the unicorn is well documented. Okay maybe you are right about squirrels, can’t stand those furry little bastards.”
