Breaking the Camels Back

JP with Bandorchu, Winteroak, and LucianNepreen

As the two women exchanged weapons they kept weary eyes on each other. Alexis was surprised how light and flimsy the black robed woman's sword felt like on her hands. After a lifetime of wielding heavy blades that relying on strength and the weight of the steel, all her life it was strange to understand how such blade could be of any use against a longsword or a broadsword.

She could tell the Ozainae woman was considering the same. Alexis weapon felt unyielding in her hand. It felt heavy, lacking finesse. She said some words to her companions and laughed as she struggled to lift and hold Greyriver's longsword.

Meanwhile the man crouching next to the game kept making lewd gesture to Tarmen about Alexis going as far as reaching between is legs and making an obvious joke with his companion.

Interestingly enough, the first person that came to Alexis’s mind when getting a feel for the very light weapon in her hand was not Hunter, once pursuing the same profession as the blade‘s owner, but Melandra Avalloc.
Even though her rapiers were especially effective for piercing attacks, while the long curved blade seemed to favour slashing, they shared the same advantage: speed.

She had no doubt the woman in black could strike significantly faster than her. The weapon was well suited for this environment; there was more than enough room for wide swings and it would compliment a light fooded style that probably would work better with the shifting sands.

In short, a fight would be very hard on the mercenary, but she knew as much before. All she could do for now was taking what she learned into consideration and try to devise a fitting strategy.

Alexis gave an approving nod to the woman, while hoping her two companions didn’t manage to wear down Tarmen’s cool.

As much as he wanted to claim to be more mature from his experiences, he couldn’t deny the irritation the two men were becoming. Their continued act was getting old and even if he could see it didn’t bother her none, he certainly didn’t appreciate it.
At their latest jest, he looked at how close the men were sitting and motioned the observation to them.

He then gave a curious brow as he hid his hands from the others, locking fingers as the man had done for him and Alexis, appearing courteously shy towards the two mens privacy.

He had seen mixed reactions to such a question and no matter what happened next, he hoped their reaction was worth it.
