Lost Child

JP with Redsword, Zeeke, Winteroak and Cindy

Islana thought it was impressive that anyone had created a statue as large as the bearded man one. The entire area seemed like someone had thrown pieces of history together for others to discover.

Islana was beginning to understand a little more of why Boyce liked this kind of work. There was a kind freeing of the mind in doing this kind of work.

As the group sat, eating lunch and chatting. A sound was heard, - it was faint. Islana wasn't sure who else heard it. She listened again - crying? Standing, the young woman tried to determine where the sound was coming from.

The sound is faint but it seems to come from the path you first took to enter the ruined fort.

The sound of someone in trouble was too much for Islana to not be drawn to, wanting to help whoever it was. Islana headed towards the noise.

Wim followed but with a hand near a dagger. He had been mostly handle leaning as the other two worked. At the mill that would have cost him a round or two. Here he imagined what this place was like when it was manned. Omen's vision nagged at the back of his mind.

Suddenly you see a sickly looking child wandering alone up the path in your direction. It is clearly crying and speaking incoherent gibberish.

Without thinking much about it, Islana runs to the child and kneels down in front of them.

It's a boy. No more than 8 or 9 years old. His face, arms and legs are covered in dirt, he looks like he could be the child of the Odonine.

Wolf flipped his hood back from his cloak and stood. on a large piece of stone when the others started to look around. Wolf slowly turns to get the direction of the crying. He watched Wim start in a direction. Wolf moved more in the same direction. Looking at the boy, Wolf then started to look around to see if anyone else was around in the shadows.

The boy is covered in dirt and told Wolf he had been out here for a while. Wolf looked at the others going to the child. Wolf stayed back more in an overwatch position watching the others making sure there was no danger following that boy.

Islana spoke softly to the boy, telling him it'll be alright. She knew the child didn't understand her, it was more the soothing tone than the words that the young woman thought was important.

The huntress searched the boy for any obvious signs of injury.

Wim leaned on the shovel like the experienced professional he was and watched the woman do her work.
"I hope he did not say anything like my family was eaten by snakes here," he said with a bit of a chuckle.

"Does he have anything contagious?" He asked in a more serious tone.
Islana mothering the boy brought a very awkward set of feelings up in him.

Wolf did not take his eyes off Islana and the boy but answered Wim. " Don't think by snakes the boy would not be here. I do think something bad happened," answered Wolf. Now walking forward. He looked over the boy looking for blade cuts or anything that looked like the boy had been in a fight. "Islana how is the boy?" asked Wolf
