Ambush at an End

JP with Alexis, Gonyaul, and Hunter:

The punch drove the air out of her lungs in a laboured exhale and had her jerk back, gritting her teeth against the pain.

She turned inwards, having his second punch hit her left arm instead, retaliating by driving the heel of her bleeding palm against the underside of his chin.

At the same time she tried to twist the blade buried into his side.

The man cried out in pain from the twisting blade, it’s movement causing irreparable damage. His head got snapped backwards from her palm strike and gave him whiplash, in addition to pulling a few neck muscles. He crumbled, but didn’t let go. He fell to the ground taking her, since he was still pinning her to his side, along with him.

Upon landing his grip broke free. He was desperately trying to keep her close, to lash at her with any part of him that was still able to attack. But he was done and he would be going to grave with the humiliation of being bested by a woman.

Hunter accepted the tackle of the ruffian as he used the momentum to roll backwards till he was on top of the ruffian . Then he drew a knife and slit the man's throat and rolled to the side to avoid the next attack.

The man didn’t have a chance against the trained assassin. He in a sense tackles his own demise. When Hunter rolled, there was no additional attack coming. Alexis has dispatched it.

The ambush had come to an end, all ten of the men slain. Even the one Alexis knocked unconscious. The moment she left, Malacost had used his head as a crochet ball and wrenched the man’s neck at a gruesome angle.

Hunter approached Alexis and checked if she was injured before collecting his weapons and horse. then he checked the bodies to see if they had any identifiable markings or personal effects.
