Sharing Visions

JP with Redsword, Zeeke, and Cindy

When your vision returns and the blind flashing light disappears, Islana is standing outside the ruins looking into the sky, Wim inside standing over the altar where no vestige of a flame having ever burn can be seen and Boyce is on his knees in a corner looking at the ground. Confused you all try to piece together what just happened not sure if your experiences were shared.

Wim looked at the two of them. "This was one of the many shrines to Fosia, the god that created the mountain with magma. He is a god of fire and ash. They worshiped him a long time till Noraura brought the cold here. She is a god of ice, of cold and death. This is what the people worship now," Wim said.
"I am not sure if I encountered the gods or a memory," he added, looking at Wolf to do his explaining thing.

Islana listened as Wim explained his vision. It was something of importance, more than likely to others, not just Wim. Islana wasn't really sure that her vision had significance to anyone but herself. She waited on Boyce to speak and tried to figure out a reasonable explanation for her vision that didn't involve her ability or outright lies.

Wolf looked up at the others. He was not sure what to say; this was all new to him. Wolf wondered if they had the same vision as he did. "Islana, Wim by your expression you both had visions. Wim what you said was different than mine. So did we all have different visions?" asked Wolf.

"Mine was different from Wim's and, I am fairly certain, different from yours." The young woman responded to Boyce.

"I'm pretty sure the Inquisition wouldn't take kindly to finding out about this." Which made it clear, they all needed to decide together what to do with this information.

Her eyes glanced to Wim, this was starting to feel familiar.

"The Inquisition, I have had my runs in with them. I think we are safe for now. But that's fine, can you tell me more?" asked Wolf.

Islana quessed a non-answer would meet with more questions. So, the young woman resolved to answer the question but she realized that answer would have to be a careful one.

Boyce's answer surprised her, she had no idea he had issues with the Inquisition. It was certainly something to keep in mind.

"I have a feeling my vision won't be of much use," Islana explained. "I was a falcon. Flying in the sky. Then I caught a pigeon. That was it."

It had felt amazing and Islana knew it was related to her gift but those were things she couldn't say. She also couldn't figure out what it meant.

Wolf looked at Islana and Wim. "I think most of my vision was a warning. In my mind it was like this. A network of tunnels and strongholds that snakes under Fang connect this Vast area. That gold could be cursed and was a test that could break even the strongest of man. Everyone has a price." Started Wolf

"How the old civilization fell from grace crumbling under the weight of its own greed. That Fire is the test of gold; adversity, of strong men. Wealth waiting to be mined and discovered." Wolf was explaining.

"Ypogeios is now home to a strange race of people That came from beyond the desert. A ruthless enemy concerning all." Wolf looked concerned.

"The threat could be coming from the Great Desert of Skulls. Is that where the next enemy comes from? I wonder if it is not the Duke? A voice that spoke in my mind. The Onslaught is coming, Stay away." said Wolf, still going on.

"Is it a warning for me or all people here? If the Duke is after the gold, he might get more than Gold. The Duke could attract a strong enemy." Wolf finished.

"I have no idea what's going on but you are right we need to keep this to ourselves for right now." says Wolf to Islana and Wim.

Islana had no answers, nothing she could think to say to Boyce. Except, "It certainly sounds like the Duke. Though I'm not sure, even if it was safe to tell him, he would listen to us."

Islana breathed, she started to say something but stopped. Trying again, "What about Kaithak? There is nothing to tell us what happened to him. Do you think we helped him?"

The boy was clearly gone, there seemed to be no way to know what had happened to him. It was bothering Islana that they didn't know and it didn't look hopeful they would find anything. The only consolation would be if they had helped him. The idea that a boy vanished because of what they had done wasn't sitting well with her.WimWim

Wolf was silent thinking about Kaithak. "Kaithak, there are stories that Gods take different forms to talk to the people. You ask if we helped Kaithak I think we did by coming here. There is a chance that's what happened with Kaithak. I know that is no comfort to you. That is the only thing I can come up with right now." explained Wolf.
