Morning- After breakfast

Elizabeth had not gotten much done last night, after dinner. So, she found herself in her office again this morning.

A message was delivered, upon reading it the Eldren gave a message to one of the servants that the body would arrive that afternoon.

Then she called in Harold, "Please fetch Miss Lavigne for me."

"Yes, Lady Elizabeth." Harold went off to do just that.

Lily was sorting through the mail when a maid knocked on the door. Lily answered the door to hear that she was being summoned by Lady Elizabeth. So Lily then cleaned up the mail mail she was working on to avoid any confusion and then made her way to the office of Lady Elizabeth. As she arrived at the door the maid knocked on the door and waited to announce the arrival of Lily.

A servant announced Lily, who was then invited in to the office. Once Lily had stepped inside the office, the servant left closing the door behind them.

"Miss Lavigne, please come in and take a seat." Elizabeth said. "I wanted to see how everything was going with you? Have you settled in alright?"

Lily smiled as she sat down and nodded to Lady Elizabeth when asked about her day. She replied, "Very good now that the mail room is complete. Its much easier to handle your special letters now."

"That is good to hear. Perhaps when we are done here, you can show it to me." Elizabeth stated. "I also wanted to thank you for keeping watch on Dr. Jackal, making sure he takes care of himself, eats and such things. I believe I do not have to tell you the less reason his other side has for coming out, the better."

Elizabeth paused a moment for Lily to reply, "Now, I need to ask. After being privy to the Order and what we do, are you still interested in joining?"

Lily replied to Lady Elizabeth with a nod as she understood how the good doctor's other violent personality was a big concern for everyone. Lily wanted Dr. Jackal to know he was in a safe place and could relax as she was in a similar situation. Then Lady Elizabeth asked about joining the Order in the long term. Lily smiled as she replied, "I think my life choice options are limited these days. Even if my father was rescued, I still have to worry about my secret being revealed which could get me disowned by my father. If my father doesn't survive and I inherit his estate I will still be a target for that secret organization and anyone related with them. This is the only place I have left that will accept me regardless of my future situation. So unless I have lost my place here I would prefer to be apart of this Order in the long term." Lily seemed a bit more confident in herself now.

"I just wanted to make sure before taking more steps. I'd like you to make a list of skills you have, just get it to me in the next few days. Also, I would like you to start learning to defend yourself, a little more. Just some basic things. If you have an aptitude for it, more training will be when Mr. Sung gets back. I can train you in self-defense but I don't have the right belt level to train you in the kind of marshal arts I know, but Mr. Sung trains me."

Elizabeth thought for a moment, "You'll need to learn to use a gun, I can teach you that and a shooting range is going to be put up in the back of the property tomorrow, it's always good to have one so people don't get rusty and can try out firearms. Other than that, you'll still do the job as my private secretary, for now. I do promise that job is only until you can be trained a little better. And I find some specialty for you." Elizabeth pulled a draw and brought out a ring box.

Normally, she'd wait until Sung was around to do this but with him undercover and the investigation heating up, Elizabeth thought doing it now, was far safer for Lily.

Elizabeth stood up, carrying the ring box and stood in front of Lily, she opened the box to show the ring, all the other team members already possess. Holding in her right hand, Elizabeth said a few words in Latin, the ring glowed, expanded, contracted, expanded again. Then stopped glowing. The Eldren then handed the ring to Lily, "Please put on that ring, and keep it on you always. You are now an official member of the Order. You are going to be a trainee for the time being." Elizabeth stated, then added. "Did you have questions that you needed answered?"

Lily was a bit surprised to get the ring and the new responsibilities so soon. It took her a few moments before she realized her jaw was agape. Then she recomposed herself and accepted the ring with a smaile from Lady Elizabeth as she replied, "Thank you Lady Elizabeth. I really appreciate this." Lily put the ring on and admired it on her hand for a bit as she had a warm smile. Oddly enough even though she was going to be going on dangerous adventures in the future she felt a huge weight off her shoulders that she had a future now especially with her real life in turmoil. Lily then gave Lady Elizabeth a curtsy and replied, "I will endeavor to life up to your expectations Lady Elizabeth."

"Very good," Elizabeth smiled. "Now, if its set up, I would like to see what you have done regarding the mail."

Elizabeth knew Lily had worked on it and she was sure it was fine but definitely wanted to see it.

Lily was excited as she stood up and smiled at Lady Elizabeth. She replied, "Yes Lady Elizabeth. I hope it is to your liking." Lily then began walking towards the door.

Elizabeth followed Lily out of the office, closing the door behind her and then to the small room that Lily had set up.

She hoped that whatever set up Lily had created could be moved easily, if that was ever necessary.

Lily properly escorted Lady Elizabeth to the mail room even though she was excited and wanted to prance about. True she was a young teen full of energy, but at the same time she was a proper young woman who still had to behave in the correct manner around Lady Elizabeth. The only one who she could truly relax around was the good doctor who didn't judge her since he was dealing with his inner demon as well. Once they reached the mail room Lily showed her the sign labeled "Mail Room" and then she opened the door to reveal the set up. The cupboard was filled with baskets that were labeled for each type of letter received for all conditions as well as the instructions and sample letters in each basket for training anyone working in the future in the mail room. The additional supplies were located in the cabinet below the shelves on the cupboard. This would ease that burden for Lady Elizabeth who already had a lot on her plate. Lily also showed the phonograph to create a relaxing environment for writing long boring letters. Lily smiled at her achievement she asked, "Do you find it suitable Lady Elizabeth?"

Lily had worked diligently on the room and it showed, Elizabeth took a moment to take it in. "Yes, this is quite good. I do like it." The Eldren stated.

She took another moment, to get a closer look at cupboards, before asking. "Do you think you could train someone to do this job, fairly easily?"

Lily smiled as Lady Elizabeth gave her some praise. She replied, "Yes ma'am. I set it up to easily train anyone who can read and write. Each basket has a list of instructions for each type of letter as well as a sample letter to copy. They only have to change the name of who they are replying to. The ones involving money will also be approved by Harold before sending out. This basket here is for the questionable letters to be investigated later on. I also have a check sheet for incoming and outgoing mail so we will know the time stamp incase something goes missing. As you can see each basket has a list for the type of letter that goes in each one as well as the color coding for its importance which is also listed. I figure in one to two weeks a new person can learn this job and do it regularly."

"Good," Elizabeth responded. "Now, I have another question for you. The errand boy Clement. I am letting him see what the different positions in the household do. Would you be amenable to him, shadowing you one day?" She wasn't just telling anyone that worked for her they had to take the boy for a day, but so far the staff had been willing. However, Elizabeth knew Lily's situation was different, and she could easily say no.

Lily smiled as she knew that this was a big favor for Lady Elizabeth since she was also looking after her staff as well as her team. Lily nodded as she asked, “Do you me to show Clement how to sort the mail to see if he can handle that task? I am unsure of his education level so I don’t want to overwhelm him.” Lily didn’t mind training anyone but knew everyone had a limit on their skills.

"He can read and write French and English. However, he's not trained in formal correspondence, so I wouldn't have him do the actual letters. He has a really good aptitude for math. Sorting would be fine or anything else you'd like to show him, nothing to complicated. He is fairly smart though so will probably pick up whatever you show him fairly fast. I more just want him to get an idea of what you do, in regards to the mail." Elizabeth paused. "He is getting too old to remain an errand boy, so it is the perfect time to train him in other jobs."

"That reminds me," Elizabeth seemed to change topics. "Did you have a nanny growing up?"

Lily nodded as she replied, "Yes ma'am. Her name was Nanny Francine Fine. Since my mother passed during my birth, my father hired Nanny Fine to take care of me and teach me the basics of education till I was ready for boarding school. Sadly when I returned on a Summer trip, I learned she was let go since my father believed I was to old to be in her care." Lily smiled despite it being a sore subject for her.

"Oh, I'm sorry that happened to you. I had a nanny when I was younger as well. But once my magic emerged, I started training with Mr. Sung and didn't get to spend a lot of time with her." Elizabeth paused. "I was hoping you could help me with something. Clement's two sisters need a nanny and a tutor. Would you be willing to help me interview the nannies? I want to be as thorough as possible and think another person who had a nanny growing up could help with this. Would you be willing to do that with me?"

Lily nodded as she replied, "Of course. I am sure you have high expectations for anyone you bring into your home. A good nanny will be a blessing to those girls. Shall I take notes for you to see their pros and cons?"

"Yes, I know it'll be quite the transition for then as the older of the two, Eloise, is very used to taking care of her sister. So, I want them to get used to a nanny first, but I might need your help when it comes time to find a tutor as well." Elizabeth explained. "Yes, a list would be good. The first interviews will be tomorrow. I'll let you know the times, a little later so you can work your schedule around them."

"I believe that was all I had to discuss with you. I will let you get back to work. Thank you." Elizabeth said, before leaving the room.

Lily nodded at Lady Elizabeth as she understood the request set before her. She replied, "You are most welcome Lady Elizabeth. I will be in the mail room should you need me." Lily then returned to her work in the mail room writing responses to the large amount of letters Lady Elizabeth seemed to receive on a regular basis. Of course Harold would need to have the unknown letters investigated and determine if they fall into the "Unwanted" basket to be used as evidence later on or if they were genuine letters in need of aid from Lady Elizabeth.
