Idle Hands

Date: May 12, 1889
Earlier that day.....

"Dr. Jackal I suspect your delivery will arrive about 10 AM. The Order is fairly punctual about such things. I would request you focus on that today." A sip of tea before continuing. "Miss Ipsum as you might have assumed I need you working on the security system." Which left one. "Miss Lavigne, as I mentioned yesterday you will be helping me interview the candidates for the nanny position. They will start arriving around 9:30 AM, if you can be prepared with any questions you feel would be important, in case I forget anything. We will be likely busy most of the day with the interviews." Elizabeth thought for another moment. "I believe that was all I had, did anyone have any questions or anything to add?"

Dr. Jackal sipped his coffee as he nodded at Lady Elizabeth and replied, "Yes ma'am." Lily nodded and replied, "Yes Lady Elizabeth. I already have a list of questions prepared in case you need them."

Dr. Jackal finished his meal and made his way to his lab. Lily finished as well and made her way to the mail room.

After finishing breakfast and leaving the dining room Lily, made her way to the mail room. She sorted the mail and began editing the list of questions for the nanny interview. She organized the list to include questions regarding their past experience, their methods of discipline for the children, their methods of educations for the children and their methods of entertaining the children, since they needed a well rounded nanny. She remembered the warmth she received from her past nanny and knew how big of an impact it will have on a child out of place. A proper nanny should be strict like a teacher in education, kind like a big sister in personal moments, wise like a grandmother when guiding them and loving like an aunt. Since she had practicable experience on this topic she was able to make a long list for Lady Elizabeth and their interview meetings later on.

Dr. Jackal on the other hand went to his lab to make the preparations to receive the body from the morgue of headquarters. Since he had a good idea of the size and weight of the body he made sure the slab was at the correct setting. Then he sterilized his equipment and wrapped it to keep it clean till the body came. After that the good doctor prepped and tested the vent hood since he was sure the body was stored in preservation chemicals and would smell strongly. The vent hood would filter out the harsh smells and he would wear a mask to avoid breathing in any dangerous chemicals of bodily fluids. Granted he was not afraid of being contaminated since his other personality was practically unkillable, he didn't want to trigger his other side by accident. He knew Lady Elizabeth would not be happy if he wrecked her house on a whim. Once he was ready he set up his notes to record his findings. Once he was done with his task he was going to need to write up a report for Lady Elizabeth again. He also included his past notes on the serum break down for a comparison in case she might notice a pattern by chance.
