Simple Minds

Who: Shakespeare
Where: The Hiding Place
When: After Rosette Had Hidden Him Away
---------------------------------------------------------
Shakespeare heard a cacophony of female voices, angry noises and what
seemed to be no more than gun sounds before hearing a sigh and then
silence. His head throbbed and his body screamed in pain to him. He
felt like he was on the brink of dying and he could barely keep conscious.
Shakespeare opened his eyes and looked about him. He was inside an
alcove underneath one of the ventilation ducts, and unless anyone had
been specifically looking for him he was invisible. He sighed quietly
and tried to move his arms. His left arm felt dead and his legs
struggled to bend. The holes rife on his body made by the drill were
leaking and staining the makeshift bandages wrapped around him.
He couldn't remember where they had come from, or how he had moved
from the torture room and when he attempted to do so his head just
complained further.
"Wheres't be'eth myneself?" he said quietly.
Mustering all the strength he had, he lurched his torso forward and
landed on his face, next to the open grating. With his head against
the floor he could see a group of people walking away from his
position. He didn't recognise them, but there was a sinking feeling
in his stomach which prevented him from calling out to them.
Shakespeare tried to move himself and use his half functioning right
arm to prop himself up. As his raised his useless body his arm gave
way and he dropped back down to the floor, only this time missing the
cold metal of the corridor and slipping down through the open grate.
Like a rag doll, his body fell through the vents and landed in a
broken heap at the bottom, various snaps emanating from his mangled body.
He yelped in pain and fell unconscious in a mess of pain.
<OOC: Is anyone going to find this poor forgotten surgeon?>
