LONGWOOD AWARDS 2008

Fellow Dwarfers,

Those of you who have been around for a few years might remember a group member by the name of Darcy-Jada "DJ" Longwood.
She was a member around the early part of 2001, and sadly, she was killed in a car accident not long after joining.

Ever since then, the group has remembered her by holding an annual awards ceremony awarding members, and characters alike for various achievements and honours over the past year, voted for by you, the group public, and it is now, that I present to you the categories that you will this year be nominating for.

The first three categories can be voted for by logging into the Yahoo group, following the link to 'poll's and simply voting on your preferred winner. These categories are:-

Best MALE Player character.
Best FEMALE player character.
Best Non-player character.

Remember, these votes are for the CHARACTER.

The following categories will require you to email myself at sirlagerlot at gmail dot com (remove the spaces replace 'at' and 'dot' with their respective symbols obviously, yahoo blocks the posting of email addresses these days) Please ensure you enter the subject heading "Longwood Votes - "

The 'open' categories:-

Best Newcomer
Best Action-Plot
Best Sub-Plot
Best 'alternate universe theme' during the multiple Dwarve's plot.
Best Villain
Best Returning Character - they don't necessarily have to have stuck around!
Best use of acronyms.
Best character 'change'. - what has happened in a characters life that you most enjoyed.
Most creative writer - who's had the best ideas this year?
Best all round-writer.
Most missed member / character who won't even know that they've won an award because they're not here anymore - this can include NPC's, Player characters, or departed / inactive members.
Best collaborative posting - who's worked well together?
Most frequent spammer  - which member ignores the 'No OOC' rule the most, or posts the most irrelevant messages!
Member who most deserves recognition for their contributions to the group
Most dramatic climax - what was the best ending for a plot this year?
Biggest anti-climax - I don't want to see any votes referring to Onions sex life here...

and finally...

Ideas for action-plots in 2009!

Voting closes two weeks from today, I need to have all votes in by no later than midnight (GMT) on Tuesday 20th January. I will then collate the results and announce the winners shortly after.

In the event of a tie in any category, the moderating team will decide the winner.

You may vote ONCE in each category, and you may NOT vote for yourself.

Happy voting people, and good luck!
