Efof + Justin "Marching Captives"

"It's Lester isn't it?"
"Yes, I'm Lester, the small buzzing in my head tells me that SNIDE's not far
away and those two over there been brutally manhandled against their will... I
assume it's against their will are a blue man with lots of arms and my personal
friend Justin Pancake who once shot me in the chest."
With that he jumped down from the tree and dashed down the path towards the
retreating backs of Justin and Efof. Dai watched with his mouth open, then shut
it again and set off after him.

Where: Tied up and riding on horseback with some guards
When: 12th Century
"I blame you for this." Justin said. Efof opened his mouth in shock. "What did I
do?"
"You doubted the power of the Hymenoptera."
"And that means we got captured why?" Said Efof, failing to see the connection.
"We could have found Rosette our new Queen, and be with her right now."
Efof sighed. "I'm bored of this Hymenptera crap." The Hymenoptera aren't
everything they're cracked up to be. Sure they're powerful, and occupy half the
planets in the galaxy, and are super intelligent, and have very big impressive
warships that could beat almost anything in a fight, and they can spin webs of
steel, and their blood is like acid, and they are super-efficient due to their
hive-mind.... but what's so special about that?"
Justin grinned. "Because Humans can't fight them forever. They will win. I want
to be on the winning side for a change."
Efof turned around to face Justins annoying face. "I'm not Human remember. I can
fight them." He said, but it sounded less dramatic and quite pathetic in Efof's
soft and harmless voice.
Justin tutted. "The Ffionians didn't stand a chance against the Hymenoptera.
They wiped you out!"
"Not all of us!" Efof said. "I survived. Barely."
"That doesn't count. You hid!"
Efof nodded. "Yeah! But it's not just me... there's another planet with
Ffionians on."
"Oh yeah..." Justin said. "Where did they come from?"
Efof shrugged. "I'm not... quite... sure. My people never colonised any other
planets that I'm aware of, so I'm not sure how there's a whole other planet of
Ffionians. But I most definately don't want to go back there."
"Why?" Justin asked. "I thought you'd like spending time with your own people."
"They're nutters!" Efof said. "They kill other races for fun."
Justin grinned. "That sounds cool!"
"No it's not!" Said Efof. "It's wrong! Plus, there's a girl there who wants me
dead."
"Ex-girlfriend?" Justin joked. He was surprised when Efof nodded.
"She wanted me to help her slaughter innocent aliens."
"Was she hot?"
Efof nodded. "Yeah, really hot. It's a shame-"
"You should have done it man!" Justin said. "Killing some poor saps is a small
price to pay for tapping a hot body!"
Efof scowled. "I really don't like you any more!" He said.
"Because I want to join the Hymenoptera and kill other races?" Justin joked.
Efof nodded. "I think that's a good reason not to like someone. Forget the
Hymenoptera. You should stick with Humans, they don't hurt anybody!"
Justin grinned. "I wouldn't be so sure about that. What do you think they're
going to do to you when you get to the castle?"
"What castle?"
"The castle they're taking us to."
Efof shruged.
"They'll kill you for being a demon, the Humans from this time period have some
interesting ways to kill people if they think you're a witch or a demon."
Efof gulped. "Like?"
"If you're lucky, you'll be drowned in a pond. Or you'll be burned at the stake.
Or you'll be hung, then all your insides will be cut out, and then you'll be cut
into little quarters. Or you'll have all your limbs tied to different horses,
which will run away from each other really really fast."
Efof gulped.
"Still like Humans do ya?" Justin grinned.
They didn't talk again for quite a while after that.
