"In Micky's head" pt2

Who: Efof and Jay
Where: Micky's mind
When: After Holly died
The landscape changed again, like it had done just before Holly had been killed. Jay and Efof were now stood in an old Western town. Or at least it looked like an old Western town, as several purple planets dominated the clear blue sky above them.
"Where are we now?" Jay asked.
"Not sure. I'll ask this crusty old codger sleeping in a rocking chair." Said Efof, and approached an old man sat on the porch of his wooden house.
He had a cowboy hat pulled over his face, which he peered at Efof through. "Take a step closer and I'll git mah shotgun out and shoot one of those purdy blue arms off." The man said in a thick Texan accent.
"Sorry. I just wanted to know what planet this is." Efof said.
As quick as a flash, the man had drawn his shotgun and had pointed it at Efof. "New Texas o' corse." He snapped, then spat tobacco on the floor.
"Great, thanks. Bye!" Said Efof cheerily and walked back to Jay. "Nice man." He said and grinned.
"New Texas, that's where Jed came from." Said Jay. Something caught his eye. "Speaking of Jed..."
Jay ran across the road to another wooden building, this one looked like the bank. Jed Calvert was strolling out of the bank with a hessian bag with a dollarpound symbol on it. He smoked a big cigar and looked pleased with himself.
"Calvert!" Jay shouted. Jed saw the man approaching, followed by a blue man with multiple arms and a stupid hat, and ran back into the bank.
"Jed Calvert come out here at once!" Captain Chrysler demanded.
Efof thought how odd it was that Jay was now shouting orders at his former boss.
Gunfire came out of the windows of the bank, making Efof and Jay duck for cover. "We want to talk to you!" Jay shouted.
"This hyar money is mine!" Shouted Calvert. " Ah made a deposit last week!"
Jay rolled his eyes. "I don't care about the money. We need to talk to you about that black labrador. Is it called Holly?"
"Ah ain't disclosing no informashun about mah business pardners. Who are ya? The feds? Mercenaries?"
Efof stood up. "Its us!" He shouted. "Efof and Jay, from Blue Dwarf!"
"Get down!" Said Jay. "He won't know who we are. He hasn't met us yet."
"Oh. Sorry." Said Efof.
Inside the bank, Jed Calvert pointed his pistol out of the window. He felt his hand start to shake, and his veins started to turn green. He placed the pistol down on the floor temporarily and pulled out a small bottle of whiskey. He pulled the cork off with his teeth, then poured the whiskey down his neck, and the green in his veins turned back to red.
He went to pick up the pistol again, but it wasn't there.
"Good morning." Said an Englishman behind him. He turned to see Seymour Niples pointing the pistol at him. Jed slapped his thighs in annoyance.
Seymour marched Jed outside with his hands up.
"Ah was jus' gettin' some provisions for the travels." Calvert admitted.
Captain Chrysler ignored him. "Those people you're with, especially the dog, what's their plan?"
"Are you offering to pay me more?" The cowboy asked. "If you do, I'll switch sides."
"We don't have any money." Admitted Efof.
"Well in that case..." Said Jed, and looked around.
All around them, cowboy figures appeared out of nowhere. They seemed to be conjured by magic. Each of them didn't have a face, and they curiously smelled of rhubarb. They all had guns though and were pointing them at Efof, Jay and Seymour.
"See ya suckers!" Said Jed, and ran away.
As soon as he did, the mysterious rhubarb soldiers disappeared.
"This place is stranger than I thought." Said Seymour.
